Bandung Trip 13-16 Dec 2014

This was my 1st overseas trip with my current colleagues in SG Enable... We planned many places n ultimately decided on going to Bandung, Indonesia.

Shiyi did all e booking on our behalf, and same thing, after discussing for a few days on the hotels, we finally set goal on Grand Prama Preanger. Nice hotel! We travel by Airasia, n booked our driver for the trip. Shiyi helped us a


rrange for travel insurance too, n thanks to her, i can do my claim for the stomach flu.

We had a good time there. To my surprise, Bandung is much cleaner than M'sia, opppss. sorry to offend any1 but that's my own opinion btw.

We went to many places.. Volcano, crater and saw e sulphuric lake, strawberry farm, mountains, caves, shopping at e various famous streets, eating local food n roadside stalls, n of course massage!!!! we even bought some nice cakes there n their famous kueh lapis!

We spend some time on e road, coz to every attraction, it is quite a distance. i dun think bringing little children is suitable lah.

It was a pleasant trip though b4 we came back, Shiyi was already down with flu, n i caught stomach flu e next day.

We r planning for the next trip but will be nearer lah, Msia i think. But more to b planned if we r going in a big group.

My experience there was considered nice, coz it is something different though the difference is not exactly that big, but is a good exposure somehow. Travel partners r impt to me, n they r all v nice. the 4 of us r in diff departments.. Like me in Training, Shiyi in Planning, Mei Peen in HR, Swee Hoon is Finance... n my room mate is Swee Hoon... Hahaa... I enjoyed myself though felt sick for e next 2 days when we came back, but no regrets!

SG Enable's Annual D&D 05-12-14

This was my 1st D&D with SG Enable, held on Friday at Grand Corpthorne Waterfront Hotel.

I was in the committee in Gret Place To Work (GPTW), so D&D lied on our duty. I was part of the programme flow committee. but didnt really got our duties so clear cut. we helped out one another to get e event done.

I was also a member to perform, singing medley with other colleagues of mine.

It was a fun event, theme was retro. We called it retrolicious. It was a pity that i did not win any prize. but no issue lah. As long as every1 had fun. Haha.

After e event, we drank some champagne, white wine n whisky. i dun like e white wine btw.. so drank some sip of e champagne n the whisky. how long was it when i last drunk liquor. So long ago liao...

Dun worry, such liquor wont b able to make me down. HHaha, though i still need to drive. But no kick lah.

We will be entitled a half day off and a $50 each to go for GPTW retreat. I am so looking forward to the retreat. But we have yet to finalise which date n activity that we will be going. My team is v fun loving n all r very helpful.

It was my pleasure to be part of this agency. N i hope every1 can work here happily!

Last month of 2014

Hooray, cooling Monday huh? Today marks the 1st day of the new month, which is also the last month of 2014, December!

This coming Fri is the company D&D.... i have yet to buy the top to match with my skirt.. hopefully today can find loh... good luck to me!

Approaching 6mth of work... The period of time that i miss most is my 11 months of freedom. Haha.. really dun bluff u guys at all.

Quite a number of stuff happening this month. 1st is e D&D, followed by my holiday trip.. n of course e last thing for the month would b wedding anniversary. Hubby said he needs to work so no celebration this year.

Many things happened when i started to go back to workforce. i have to adapt to many changes, adjustment of lifestyles. I see many changes. Good or bad, up to own perspective.

December is always full of joy, bcoz of Xmas! Everywhere is full of the happiness of the festive. I have no plans for Xmas eve n Xmas. Eve still need to work though is a half day. But night activities shld b no prog at all. Dun wish to squeeze with ppl and spend that extra $$ for the meal just like wat i had been doing for e past few years. V broke now, so better not. Haha.

Nonetheless, i always look forward to the end of the year. It makes me look forward to a better new year ahead n new hope in life. Every year, i pray that my whole family n good friends will b blessed with gd health n happiness. This yr no exception. i hope every1 in my life can have a even better life ahead. Let's all count down to e end of e year, n hope every1 has had a wonderful year of 2014!

Jaden is 6! 21-11-14

Time really flies. Jaden turned 6 yesterday.

Both hubby n I took leave bcoz we wanted to bring him out to play. Decided not to bring Javier along, bcoz we just want to make Jaden the 1 n only!


After some discussion, we decided to go to the Transformer Exhibition. We had a great time there, though it's considered rather steep price just to go for the exhibition. Next time will bring them to the science centre together with Javier.

We bought a small cake just for the celebration. Both our boys dun eat cake n they dun like eating cake.

It was a simple celebration as Jaden still need to go for his lessons as usual. But hubby n I had quality time together, ever since i started work, i am really busy. yesterday we had some we-time n had a nice talk n lunch together when Jaden was having his lesson.


It was God's gift for us as Jaden is really a tamed boy. He is cheerful and happy, he is kind n harmless. We love him as he is.

All i wish for is, he can be happy everyday, and ppl around him will love him sincerely, just like how we love him. Happy blessed birthday my precious prince. U r our love and u will always be.

My Updates on my job

If you go online n check out the agency that i am working at now, you shld koe that it is a non-profitable organisation, social service sector. Our agency is dedicated to help people with disabilities.

We were also on e news recently. Target to make an inclusive place for the PWDs, esp in redhill area as our office is there.

I have been happy working there though i have a change of job scopes on my 2nd month of work. i will have more diff job scopes from next yr onwards.

I am handling more on employers side, as previously i do more on ops and admin support for the PWDs area. Of course now doing employers, i still need to do ops and admin, but i do other stuff too. In a way, it broaden my knowledge and experience in different areas.

I have wonderful colleagues all around in diff departments, n of course i do get along with most of them quite well. 

It's been a good experience to get away from education line and go into social service, an area which i totally not sure of. But i'm thankful for my pal to intro me into this agency. I've been happy here.

Next yr, it will be more challenging as an exec level staff. I do not know if i can handle n do well but i have to just do watever i can. hopefully i can do well lah. 

It's busier than when i was in MOE, n tats for sure. But i think it's ok bcoz it's something new and i am still adjusting. This is when i need the support frm family most. I need time during wkdays for work. But luckily, now when i no longer working in e weekends, my boys love it more. 

Soon it will be Jaden's 6th birthday. Had taken leave, so will bring him out to play!!!! Yeah! He will sure b v happy n excited! Haha. More busy days ahead as e next 2 Sats i would need to work, i will try to update on that soon!

2nd Energizer 31-10-14

I am just so lazy to go online to blog recently, bcoz i am far too tired from work n activities. Haha.

Yesterday was e 2nd Energizer! And as usual, i am heading the activity though i dunno e route. This time round, the bonding activity is trekking at MacRitchie Reservoir. We have a total of 9 members this time.



Whole morning meeting, til Brown Bag time, n then rush out minutes of meeting b4 i started off with the activity with my colleagues.

We have a mixture of colleagues joining us this time too. Must have at least from 3 diff division and minimum pax is 5.

The weather wasnt good in the beginning, n we were glad that e weather finally gave in after a few hrs. We first had no choice but to visit a cafe 1st to avoid the rain. After some time finally thought can start trekking but started raining again, no choice but to reverse n head to shelter again. After tat we decided to start trekking with umbrellas n raincoat. After quite a distance of trekking, not even halfway done, the time was already near to 6pm. Haha.

Finally when we finished e trail, we can go for dinner. It was great hanging out with this grp of colleagues. fun loving n encouraging. Work can b tiring n discouraging at times, but with their support and encouragement, it was different!

We have to start planning for the next 1. but most prob either i cannot join in or come in much later, as in e noon til 2pm, we have a workshop conducting outside. Let me work it out with them n see if they r ok to proceed while waiting for me. but i believe by the time i am ready to meet them for the next Energizer, it would be 4+ liao. Hope they dun mind hahaha!! Oh well, i think they wont mind lah, as i am quite popular n well loved in the group. HHaaahahaha..


We all enjoyed ourselves n tats e truth. We worked hard n make sure we play hard during weekdays! So that weekends save e energy for my 2 boys. Hope every1 is happy at their workplace!

Granny birthday celebration 05-10-14

Every yr, the Chin family would help my granny celebrate her bday! N this year, the same, we went to Tradehub 21.

I'm so sorry to update this post 6 days later. Been quite busy at work, n no time to update. Since I am planning my syllabus for next week, so might s well update at e same time.

As usual, it's just a simple dinner gathering for us. not every1 was present. bcoz my SIL yinghui is still doing confinement, so she had to be at home, with our precious princess.

We had good food of course. N Jaden wasn't in top form actually that he threw tantrums. He was too tired that day dunno y. However, we managed to force him to go off only until e cake cutting session was over. N of course, it spoilt my mood totally.

But, I cannot blame him after all. They r kids. when they r tired, they will dysfunction. And indeed, after reaching home, changed clothes n fed him milk, less than 30min, he actually slept le. it was b4 10pm!

my granny is getting old every year, n of course she is still v energetic. I wish her the best of health, n hope she can always be happy n jovial.
