Happy 4th Year Anniversary 27/11/2007

Today is our 4th anniversary!! no celebration as we already had our celebration last weekend... time flies... we had been together for 4 long years.. it seemed like we had been together longer than that.. mayb it's bcoz we had known each other for too long... this is the 10th year we knew each other..( our very 1st photo )

after this year, we will b celebrating each occasion as husband & wife.. we may not concentrate so much on this anniversary so much.. in fact, i believe we will focus more on our wedding anniversary date...

in this relationship, there were ups n downs.. it is a route which we had to walk across.. there will be a moment when both parties felt down in the r/ship, but it depends on how we are going to surmount this obstacle.. if u manage to cross this 'grey thin line', the r/ship will blossom, but if failed to, then it marks the end of the r/ship... i cannot say our relationship is smooth all way long.. but i am grateful that we managed to walk the path down 2gether..

We came across a moment when we felt unsure of each other.. i wanted to give up, but it was him who asked me to continue the route with him.. bitterness at 1st, and sweetness at the end.. though i cannot say he's the best man for me, but at least i know he cares a lot for me... something for sure, we will make the marriage work successfully, we will live together happily, we will love each other n care for each other wholeheartedly.. we will prove to those people who dun think good of our r/ship.. we will prove them wrong...

Wedding Updates

Here i am, updating my wedding stuff again....

Last week, Yifen n Zhiyong accompanied me to IMM to buy some things.. n also went there for kopi session as well... There was a store selling wedding things, it was located beside the 2 bridal shops... I managed to place an order for the quilt cover set for an chuang.. i showed a similar pic to Bong abt this bedsheet set.. he loved it too.. but i told him it's quite expensive... n he said just buy 1 set should b fine... there are 2 diff sets in the shop... in the end, i chosed the one with the couple cartoon design... estimated date of arrival of the set should b 2 weeks' time..n it cost us near to $150.. i like it very much.. an chuang things, his mum has settled.. so 1 thing done.. an chuang's date was set on 28/12/2007... date was given by the shi fu....

invitation cards had been distributed out to all my colleagues... other groups of friends oso give out liao.. only left some to be posted out.... Bong has also started to distribute his side... now wat we r troubled about is, his mum's side has increased a lot of ppl... we r troubled over this matter.. Ivan has given us 1 solution, n i told Bong just now.. he said he will talk to his mum again n see how... i hope we can settle this matter asap..

Our new flat - Jurong West St 64

we r still waiting for HDB's letter, to see when we can collect our keys... the 'fake walls' had been removed, so i saw some ppl drove in to take a look. though can't enter our units, but can take a look at the vicinity...

Our flat is connected to the carpark. So, there won't b any chance that we will get ourselves wet when it rains. the carpark is til 5th floor, while our flat is at the 7th... all we pray is, we won't b much affected by the noise.

i like the entrance at the roadside... which enter to our blocks of flats... looks like condo leh.. haha.. it is just a narrow way to the carpark. I hope we can collect the keys b4 New Year... but we won't b in a rush to move in yet.. so will do the necessary renov slowly as well.. We r planning to go for our honeymoon in June '08, so do hope to move in b4 that...

after wedding, our focus will b our new flat.. Bong said that, we will do a thing at a time.. our flat is a premium flat, so the flooring n toilet r all done.. i think at most we will need to paint the walls, do kitchen, buy furniture then we can move in liao.. we dun plan to employ a designer. we will do it simple according to wat we like.. we discussed, will do more n buy more when we r richer in the future.. so,our flat will b a very simple flat....

Wedding Updates - Personal Montage

MotionImage will be helping us to do our childhood to wedding montage... it will b played b4 the 1st march in... but we prepared another 1 to show the guests during cocktail til the emcees request the guests to b seated...

We prepared our personal montage, which consists of more photos of us, regardless childhood, or adulthood pics... Montage photos passed to MotionImage can't be too much.. so we prepared another one, to show the guests during their presence in the ballroom... some of the pics will not b projected in the DVD montage that MotionImage has done for us.. at least b4 the start of the banquet, guests will get to see 2 diff photo montages...

I got it burnt in a wrong format.. tats y during food tasting, we went to try the disc out, n it cannot b played... So,had to trouble my bro to help me...

Bro asked his colleague to get it done for me... So, the disc was ready on Friday.. Bro placed it on my PC table.. Yesterday, i went to try it out using a DVD player at Bong's house.. it can work!! well done Weiwen! but a flaw,the first title, Wentong's childhood, words r very blur, cannot see.. i think is the colour i put... but the rest were ok.. Bong said never mind, no need to re-do n re-burn another one..

so, another thing done... OUR PERSONAL MONTAGE!

Wedding Updates - Completion of ring pillow

Yesterday i received an email from the person who does ring pillows... she has completed doing our rng pillow... wow,impressive.. tats fast!! less than 2 weeks leh... initially thought that she might need around 1 month's time to finish, but who koes, it was so fast!!!

She did out a draft 1 week later when i've transferred 50% of the deposit to her, n informed her about the colour which i want, n the design we prefer... so i was supposed to reply her which draft i preferred a few days ago, gave her the reply 1 day later,n who koes, yesterday she informed me that it's ready.. i requested her to send me the pics, of the progress of the ring pillow.. n she is very kind indeed to do it for me... take pics, download n send to me.. so was quite grateful that she did it out of goodwill..

upon completion, she sent me the picture of our ring pillow.. i showed it to Bong, and he was very satisfied with it, as it's simple, with my favourite colour Blue, with our names n wedding date on it.. not elaborated or extravagant...

My colleague commented that, aiyo, so many things wana customised.. haha, but i told her, it's not tat expensive, so we dun mind customising... somemore, customising has some advantages.. it's special, only we have... i mean is, all ring pillows are the same.. but ours is done with the colour n design we want, n our names on it.. unless there is another couple who has the same names as us lah... so, it's customised!!! our very own ring pillow.... will meet her this weekend, or the next, to pass her the remaining amount and collect the ring pillow from her.. i'm very glad!

well well well,it's the 30th again... let me just summarise abt my wedding stuff

2 more months to my BIG DAY!! had done the following:

1) Collected my wedding albums n stuff from Seletar Broadway...
2) Food tasting
3) Mums' tea dresses
4) Re-trying of my EG.. had asked them to add more glittering bits on my EG
5) the making of invitation card to remind relatives of the Solemnisation ceremony
6) Customisation of our ring pillow!
7) Date for an chuang & guo da li
8) Selection of flat. ( waiting for approval of loan, n signing of lease )

Things not done:

1) Choosing of wedding favours
2) Choosing of wedding theme. ( had 1 in mind already )
3) Finalise guest list. ( almost 90% confirm )
4) Plan sitting arrangement. ( more or less ok )
5) Things for guo da li. ( ordering of cakes will b in Nov, my jia zhuang will get it done in Nov)
6) Send out invites. ( will start giving out grp by grp starting from this week )
7) Buy furniture to prepare for an chuang.
8) Food for the relatives on AD. ( had decided to order what already, but will book later)

More or less are these.. can't remember so much also... haha... starting from this week, every Sunday will b packed to meet diff grp of frds, for a gathering, n to pass them the wedding cards as well... COUNTING DOWN...... 30th Dec 2007!!!!

Food Tasting at Holiday Inn Atrium 27-10-07

we had our food tasting today at HIA... reached HIA at around 12.40pm... went to MotionImage 1st to pass them the photos, in order for them to do the montage for me.. but due to some photos which resolution were too small, i had to dig out some pics in hard copies and had to make another trip down to pass it to them...

went to meet our coordinator at around 1pm.. went into the Xin Cuisine,and waited for our food tasting dishes... which started at around 1.30pm...1st dish was this combination platter.. which has a glowing candle.. quite nice man.. having diff colours...

had all the 8 dishes... no much comments abt the dishes,as they tasted great... Bro n Bong liked the dessert.. the rice dumpling! the prawns were great too... very fresh n Q...

overall, we had good comments on the food.. initially i was thinking to change the Ee-fu noodles... but just now when we tasted it, not bad eh... i went to several wedding dinners, and their Ee-fu noodles were just ok... HIA's much better...

The steamed soon hock was a big fish! the chef said it's around 1kg... he assured me that on our AD, the fish will also b that big.. it surprised most of us, as when we go eat, the fish were always small.. but HIA's portion is big... n it's very fresh... though Bro said that the preserved vege dun really match well with the fish...

We didn't ask to change any dish.. as all of them nodded their heads that the food are all good... actually asked the chef is there's any other choices for the dessert.. but all so common, Bro said dun take.. he told me,it's ok just that it might b too full as a dessert... but those sago,n other common desserts dun interest me at all... they think that the red bean is a bit too sweet.. but the dumpling is super nice... so,we just asked him to make sure that the dessert isn't too sweet that day.. n he jotted it down our points too...

After the food tasting, we went to our ballroom n took a look at their layout, as there's a wedding dinner tonight.. we brought our CDs along to try it out... Ivan brought us to Seletar ballroom to take a look at the new theme, Copper theme... not bad, it's a new theme... Ivan said he'll take a pic of the theme n will send it to me.. then will choose the theme n wedding favours we want in Dec... i quite like it, so most prob will take the copper theme! favours wise, we like 1 of the favours... it's a secret... on my AD, then u see for yourself!
