Couting down to Javier's big 1

Jav's 1st birthday is coming tomorrow!!! It's a Sat, wat a coincidence, tats y decided to celebrate...

Wat to wear for tmr has been set! Buffet n cake ok liao, confirmed with the caterer... door gifts too... Prepared something for the little kids who r coming tomorrow.. Just need to get some stickers tats all.. Decor wise, nothing leh.. His banner will b hung, as usual...

It's going to b a smaller scale of celebration this time.. dun wish to invite too many ppl, wait will end later n we will b more tired...

Well, this is our 2nd child, somemore same gender, i am a little not willing to accept gifts. angbao better, more practical. Watever Jaden needs, he already has, n will pass down to Javier.. There's nothing much i would want to get a similar kind of toy/gift for Javier. But well, it's a kind gesture, thanks aniway.

I always give ppl angbao rather than present, coz i think they can choose wat to do with the $$.. aniway it's not a big amt lah. save up also can, buy things oso can..

I hope it wont b as tiring as the prev celebrations. Wats impt is, relatives, families, best frds around to give Javier their blessings would b my wish. angbao or gifts, it's just a gesture.

I hope the event can end not tat late, n with less disruptions. Smooth smooth ok? Hope this little boy can b blessed with great health n happiness always! Bcoz he has his parents, elder brother n other relatives who will love him.

2012 Teachers' Day

Today, 1st Sept, is no longer Teachers' Day. It has been changed to the 1st Friday of Sept, which will be on the 7th this year. We had the Teachers' Day Celebration yest in school, n evening Teachers' Day Dinner (TDD) at Bukit Batok CSC.

The Singspiration started as usual at 1230-1300.. The celebration concert started n ended around 1345. We had lessons as usual til 1700. Well, it is not a good day for lessons. Every1 is tired n children are hyper to the max..

We had to reach CSC by 1900. No time to go home change lah.. Somemore my left eye started to swell n turned red on Thurs, had to wear specs... not nice, so spoilt my mood. But no choice. We decided to change in sch n go west mall for a kopi session b4 going over to CSC.

This year's theme is Back to old sch days/ retro.. Well,we did not really go with the theme.. bought some polka dot kind of hair clips to wear instead.

The event was fun n entertaining.... but only won a $10 ntuc voucher.. i had big headache halfway thru e dinner.... might b bcoz of e swollen eye... Reached home at 2300 n was so exhausted.. Luckily it's a Sat today with no work...phew.. hope all my colleagues njoyed themselves last night n rest well during e weekend!

P2 Drama Fest 24-08-12

After months of training n practises, the P2 drama fest was finally here on Friday 24-08-12..

I was the in-charge of the P2 drama schedule... after 8 lessons, all 11 classes had done their performances that day, n i felt grateful tat everything went on smoothly n successfully.

I was the AV in-charge that day. Felt nervous for my R8, as they r always full of nonsense. Well,
though i preferred their performance during the rehearsal the day b4, but their performance on the actual day was ok too....

It was a busy week for us. After this event, i have to start rushing the syllabus. They still have year end exam to handle, mind u.

1 project on hand down. next, will b the mid-autumn festival bazaar (MAF), which will b held in Sept. Oct prepare them for exams, n Nov will b the p1's turn for the drama fest. Never ending programmes. Pity the kids this generation.

Coming Fri will the Teachers' Day Dinner (TDD). Well, so fast, the annual event is here again.

Going to have a relax weekend b4 the new week starts tomorrow!

Planning for Javier's big 1

Javier is turning 1 soon, real soon.. oh my.. time is travelling fast.. it just seems tat Javier is still a baby, n now he is going to be a toddler soon...

I've been real busy this year at work, tats y planning for his bday has been dragging n dragging.. XL is kind enough to ask me if there's anything tat she can help with, but i dun wish to trouble ani1.. It's just me being lazy most of the time.

But, as his bday is arriving, i somehow have an idea wat to order lah, just tat not all confirmed yet. Til today, the only thing tat i had confirmed is the door gift... Secret.. no way tat i am revealing til the actual day event.

We'll not be inviting friends or colleagues this time round. Just our families, relatives n my TABLE members n some sec sch good friends.

Cake n buffet, we had decided the caterer, but gotta wait til hubby's side relatives attendance, hope to order by end of this week, or latest by mid of next week.

Not as hardworking as Jaden's time when i started searching for theme n the design of cake i wanted. This time, no particular theme lah... no much energy to do research though i did search for bakers to do the design i wanted...

It's going to b a rather simple celebration for his birthday, n of course hoping to get every1's blessings for him. Will hold e event in the noon, n hope to end by evening, so tat we can all rest after the celebration. Am looking forward to his bday party in 2.5weeks time!

Movie time

Thanks to the Hari Raya, tats y Monday is a PH.. Phew... Mon is also my dreadful day of my working weeks...

Had a date with my sis to watch 3D movie, Brave... She has a pair of free tickets, but is only for Shaw theatres.. N wats troublesome is, only Shaw Centre can watch the movie... We chose Brave, though i would want to watch Ice Age 4... the timing is just too late...

The time to watch was 2.50pm... I had to settle Javier 1st... He got up at 0745, after which had breakfast with my parents... I made porridge for him, n when he got up ard 12pm from his 1st nap, i drove him to my in laws' house, fed him his lunch n ensure Jaden is ok, i went off to meet my sis..

I dun wish to drive, so took bus 502 there... Dozed off on the bus as usual.. Haha... After collecting the tickets, we went to TCC for a cup of coffee.... The show was nice, n touching...

We have to brave n fate is in our hands. Though i do not really like her red fluffy hair, but the show was indeed nice, good for children to watch. I am home now cooking Javier's dinner b4 i go over to see my boys. While waiting for the porridge, i am blogging! Haha...

Shall ask if i need to buy dinner for Jaden. Will take bus over later. Taking cab back cost us near to $20... Well, i had always hated to drive to orchard to b frank...

To me, family is impt, but me-time is equally necessary. I need some time for myself... Work is already draining me most of the time, so privacy n own time for myself is necessary. Today is a short break time for myself, n thanks to my sis, or else i would have missed a good movie.

Weiwen's 29th birthday

Sorry, i was too busy this week, n too tired yesterday to blog about my brother's bday.... Yesterday 15th August, was his 29th birthday.. My sis n I organised a dinner with him, together with my biao ge, biao sao n of course my hubby.


We arranged to meet at Holland V after work.. Had steak n other food.. It was great, though i think e price might b abit steep. We had a great chat, but we had to go at ard 10pm, as we need to rush back to fetch Javier back home... n somemore today i need to be in sch latest by 7am, for the PSLE Oral. Wasn't posted out to be Oral Examiner (OE) this year, was being a time-keeper.

I had a hectic week, n more to come, all e way to Nov. So, if nothing serious n big, please do not ask me out. Weekends, i  would prefer to be at home, coz weekdays had been too busy n tiring for me. weekends, i just wish to b at home, with the 3 men.

This year's bday is different, bcoz my bro has promoted to be a fiance of Yinghui. Customary next Nov. We had been v close n can talk anything under e sun. It's great to come out n eat every few days or once in every few weeks.

We did not buy a bday cake for my brother, as his fiancee has already gotten him one. My brother has always been our pride. He is never boastful, though he has been doing well in his current job. But of course, his crap is always popular that we find him crazy at times. Haha... I'm thankful that my parents gave me my elder sis n my younger bro, though we always fought when we were younger, but now we are so close. Being the middle child is miserable, trust me. Tats y i have no intention to go for #3...

I am so proud of my brother,n of course my sis. Sometimes it just crossed my mind that among the 3 of us, i am the most stupid person with no ambitions. They r just so outstanding. My brother still has a long way road down to go, n i am sure he will only strive for the better n move on to achieve his goals, n he sure will do it. I hope God can give him the best tat he deserves, n always b healthy n happy. these 2 things are not to b bought by $$$$... My brother is surrounded by love n happiness, a positive person like him, with life goals n ambitions, i am sure he will be a better person!

Javier's 1st swim experience at e pool

When Jaden was young, i went online to buy a swimming tub n neck float for him to 'swim' at home.. now it's passed down to his younger brother to use. Soon, i can pass down to any1 who needs it, whoever gets preg in my family..

Javier tried it once at home, n yest was his virgin try to the pool.. Yest, at late noon ard 4+, i brought him to the Bukit Batok CSC swimming pool, together with my sis.. My sis wanted to bring him, as we had brought Jaden there the prev time, so now is didi's turn.. I drove him to west mall to fetch my sis then we went to the pool together.

It was actually his nap time, but we kept him awake. He was happy to play with the water, n his eyes were so red that it was obvious that he was tired, but he refused to go.. After playing for ard 30min, we had to stop him.. Can't let him play too long for the 1st time...

Went to bathe him quickly n got him changed, then my sis n I rotated turns to change... Made him a bottle of milk n let him drink while i go change... Who koes, when we were on e car, b4 we left the gantry of CSC, Javier fell asleep... Haha.. he was just too tired..

Initially wanted to go west mall eat, but my sis said y not go further, let him sleep on her lap n rest longer, so we went to Jcube... I carried him n we went to eat... He rested on my lap for quite some time n before we could finish our dessert, he woke up.. But still v tired as he sleeps better w/o noise..

It was a good experience for him to swim real this time. The weather was rather cool, so we let him wear his thermal swimwear, passed down from Jaden too. Next time when weather is better, will let him wear his float suit.. Haha... Oso bought a float suit for Jaden, will let him try on soon.
