The end of Lunar 7th month

Today is the 1st day of chinese lunar August, which means yesterday was e last day of the Ghost month.

I believe in spirits, ghost, deities.... n every yr ever since Javier was born, i would buy e offering package n burn it on the 1st day of lunar 7th mth n the last day. This year i oso did e same.

Javier is v pantang. Jaden ok, n we dun wana take e risk not to believe at times. He is already difficult to handle, so dun wana make our lives more miserable. Just bcoz he is hard to handle, we handle him ourselves at night, n if i am home, i will take charge fully.

Ever since he was born, i took care of him most of e time. I dun have maid, everything we do ourselves. no nap for me, no rest time for me, unless he is asleep. Unlike Jaden, he is easier to handle, though he dun nap now. Haha.

After this, wat we will be looking forward to is the Mid Autumn Festival! I seldom eat mooncake now liao, coz find it too sweet somehow.

If your kid is pantang, u better not risk anything. Esp the lunar 7th month. Believe it or not, is up to you.

Colleagues? Friends?

I understand that some ppl can really only b colleagues, n no more than that. But to me, i treat every1 as friends, and unless this person really irks, or else i am ok with any1.

But if there is some1 who back stabs, reports, n then get close to me, then better watch out. Go away n stay away from me. I hate such ppl. I trust u tats y talk to u, but if u have intentions to 'spy' then pls leave me alone. All i want is make frds n not enemy.

I am rather frdly, n likes chatting with friends. But i koe there r ppl out there are always trying to dig infor from ppl so that can do e reporting as a spy. Tat is not right u koe? It's not tat i koe of ppl who r like that, but i just feel that ppl treat u with sincerity then pls show e same way. I dunno who r e spies or betrayers in the company n i hope they dun come near me either. I just hope that they koe me as a person who is true n frank.

I find ppl like them v pathetic. They r always on their toes n wary of ppl around them. They r just like porcupines. But i am not cactus ok. Neither am i a rose with spikes. I only want to make friends n make my working lifestyle n environment a happy one tats all.

I want to make more frds, n not more colleagues. It's sad if the latter is more. N i hope not. At least i really make some good frds here, all thanks to my pal Jasline. She introduced me quite a number of great colleagues who can b friends too! I might b naive, mayb bcoz i am spoilt by my ex colleagues in PHPPS. i find most of e ppl nice n true, not those back stabbing category. Mayb tats y i tot in this new environment i might behave e same way too. But there's more to observe n confirm. I will b a bit more careful, after all this place is not my usual familiar place PHPPS. But no worries, i am still me. i dun wear a mask, no matter where i am. dun worry.

Hubby's 34th Birthday 03-08-14

This year's birthday is rather special for hubby.. all bcoz of his injury. n of course hospitalisation leave til early Sept....

We had 2 simple celebrations for him. 1 is in

e noon at Swensens JP, after i had finished my makeup tuition lesson which was postponed from Wed to Sunday morn. My best pal, the Tay family came along to eat n chat. There was a free firehouse for birthday boy, n he could choose the 3 flavours of ice cream of his own choice.

In e evening, MIL cooked dinner so we didnt go out eat. I bought a cake from Prima Deli, and so we had a simple celebration for him to hear bday song n cut cake loh. Haha.

No need to elaborate to celebrate a birthday anyway. Haha. All i wish is, he can be healthy always. Bcoz to me, he has his parents, he has a wife, he has 2 kids. Tats e more he shld b aware of his condition. Since he has limited capability to earn more $$, then he shld make me less worry of his other stuff.

Of course, i do hope to see him succeed. Mayb he hasn't found his bo le... Good luck to him. 

Company Sky Blue cum company celebration 01-08-14

Last fri was e company celebration again!

We had games in e morning, which resulted me to get hurt at my lower back, tat when i sit or stand up, will b pain. sneeze or squat oso cannot, let alone walking fast... sibei sianz...

After e morning games, we proceed to Days Hotel at Balestier for e company lunch. After which was our E&E department bonding activity to the KTV. We sang for 5hrs, then only left me with 3 colleagues out for dinner.


It was a great bonding day for all of us. As usual, i sat with my good friends in e company who come from different departments. The food varieties not alot actually. But still, i enjoyed myself. The colleagues here, as i had mentioned before, were very kind n nice.

I have a 'CCA' announced officially last Fri, that will be wat we called co core department. Haha. It's a committee planning for activities, events, D&D etc. Will b busy too! will have a meeting with the committee 2wks later. N i do look forward to contribute my ideas!

Mr Bong was injured 23-07-14

Oh well, he was injured again, this time round was the hand...

It all started with him playing badminton as usual every Wednesday. I was on course, thus cancelled my tuition slot. While on e way back from express bus 502, i received his call ard 8pm, which i think was abit abnormal, as he wont call me at that time, as he knew i will be having tuition, n i didnt even tell him my tuition was cancelled..

He told me he was injured, i was like, OK then? then he said he think he broke his arm.. colleagues called for ambulance etc. It was impossible for me to rush back home or to e hosp in e shortest time, bcoz when he called me, my bus was only at suntec area. It took me quite some time to reach back to Jurong, then i went to take my car w/o changing after work, to NUH A&E to find him.

He needed to be hospitalised, n even go through surgery, bcoz his bones were fractured. 

He will be on leave til early Sept, n lagi best, his body is full of scars now. 

Every year, he would 'surprise' me with different wounds... Haiz.. dunno when such 'heart attack' can stop.

meeting up with a pupil from Nanjing 18-07-14

Recently i am v packed at work, bcoz of this week 21st to 30th we have 2 trainings.. 

My pupil from Nanjing arrived in spore last thurs, n she is going back tmr morning le. Why n how did i get to know this pupil?

In 2006, i went to Nanjing for an immersion prog, together with my LH Peihan, n a grp of pupils. Wenjun was 1 of the pupil there to immerse with us.

Though we only spent 10 days there, but she still kept in touch with both Peihan n me. Through emails, n we keep in touch for these 8 years.

She is a v intelligent girl who did well in her studies, n rich family backgrd. Soon, she will pursue her degree in Canada, n she wana continue studying! Time really flies, it proved that time dun stay for anione.

8 years, n she is 19 years old. wah, seem as if i v old leh. Haha. We had a great chat last fri after my work, though i was super late! I wonder when will b the next meetup with her. Mayb gonna wait til her term break, or if there is any chance tat i would ever step into Nanjing again. But technology is so advanced. We can also email each other, like we always did for these 8 years.

Wenjun, hope you have a safe flight home tmr, n may u have a wonderful campus life in Canada. All e best to you, n i will always miss you!

E&E department offsite retreat 11-07-14

this was the 1st offsite retreat for me in this company.. n it was held at IAL for the 1st part n 2nd part at Alive museum Suntec..

In e morning, it was more of serious meeting n discussion sesson.. n b4 e end of the meeting, we celebrated 3 colleagues' birthday which was in July.

After which we proceeded to Suntec by all car pooling those who drove. I didnt drive that day by e way. We all had fun n our department is quite big with 33 pax.

It all ended at 6+, n i was really exhausted. It was meeting n also get to koe our department members. This department has 3 sub divisions. this department i am in is Training, n Jas is in the employers enablers.... 

The ppl here r quite fun loving n helpful. We r going to have a party again 2 weeks later as a whole company. N i think it will b going to b fun!
