Wedding updates IV - not that pleasant

i was browsing the HDB web site just now... as i wanted to know more about the family season parking ticket... may need to purchase 1 ticket to put at Bong's house... paying $45/month, and can save some hassle... every Sat after having meals with his family,we will drive them home 1st,then will drive the car back to my house carpark,then from there will walk back to his house.. coz we always can't b sure how long we would have to stay there.. Bong dun want me to waste coupons, or even risk to escape from being fined... so this new approach is a good choice...

it happened that i saw the page, which stated the July's ballot exercise results were out... i used the registration number to log in and see if we got a queue number... n indeed we got a queue number... but it wasn't a pleasant one... we got number 96... which was larger than the number of units available for purchase... i was caught surprised!!! we were placed in the priority scheme, under 1st timer, married child scheme... should have 4 more chances than other applicants... Out of the 54 4-room units,we were placed 96... oh my!! i called Bong to inform him abt this... i was rather disappointed, as i tot we would sure have a great chance to get the unit this time... We'll be receiving the notification letter soon, regarding our appointment date n time with HDB..meanwhile, we will have to observe the sale of units through teletext, to see if we still stand a chance when it's our turn... i was quite sad that i told Bong that we might not succeed again this time round... i dunno... another upset....

Wedding updates III

Just now, i met Wanqiu at The Concourse to buy Children's Day gifts for our children....

When we were walking around the shops, i happened to see this packet of banner... Although it wasn't what i really wanted as a banner, but it looks OK too... So i bought 2 packets.. 1 to put at Wentong's house, the other 1 at my house... i oso planned to put 1 of it at the banquet in the evening... most prob place at recept table...

Actually wanted to create 1 on my own... but since i can find it, then i can save some trouble... no much time to handle all these... these few weeks had not been touching anything regarding our wedding stuff, coz school work is rather busy... I hope i can have some time to settle some things... though a lot of ppl said that my stuff are actually 70-80% done liao, which i oso agreed lah... i count myself lucky that i insisted to settle invitation cards, BS stuff, programme flow etc asap... at least now no need to b so stress that being afraid this thing not done, that thing not settled... btw,i oso had printed wallet sized wedding photos for some of my friends from Kodak!! also done the lamination there.. so will give out the mini photos to them,and those closer ones...

2 weeks later can collect all my stuff from Seletar Broadway liao... end of the month will have food tasting, and also choose wedding theme and wedding favours!! if that is done, really no much to follow up, except going through the whole event with our helpers that day, and rehearsal.... 1 more week,and we'll know if we manage to have a queue number to select our HDB flat.. hope this time is successful... Netball

Saw an article on Today's newspaper... our S'pore Netball girls made it into the finals...

This sport gave me a lot of memories.... I used to be a very sporting gal who loves outdoor activities.. but now, a very 'nua' girl..

It made me think back to my sec sch days... was a nobody in the team.. until 1 year of hard work, managed to make it into the reserve team, but yet always got the chance to play in tournaments.... Coach trained me to shoot w/o thinking... so that time,my shooting skills was almost to 100% accuracy....

I was playing GS most of the time... n when i was in sec 4, i was nominated to b the captain... it was so fun that time... missed it so much... My elder sis was also a netball player.. n she is much better than me.. she plays GA... we r both shooters.. but not the same sch lah...

After watching this article.. felt so happy for the team... i hope they can get champion this time... how i wish i can go n play again... too bad.. hopefully asthma dun act up all the time...

Fruitful Trip to The Concourse 02-09-07

Yesterday i made a trip to The Concourse, to buy the heart-shaped balloons for our ROM solemnisation ceremony.... Bong has to work,so i went with my parents...

Yes,i did get the balloons!!! N we went to the floral shops to take a walk, then i saw a decor,which is quite cute... so i bought it.. Planned to put on the solemnisation table, but my coordinator said that there will b a flower arrangement on the table liao, so i think i'll put it on the recept table instead...

So far, til now,there's nothing much to do for my preparation.... collating the photos for MotionImage to do our photo montage... We've chosen already... these few days/weeks,i'll sit down n burn the photos n the song into the CD-rom... then will choose a day to go down to pass them the CD....

Album Layout viewing 01-09-07

A fresh start of a new month... it seems to be so fast,now is already September... yesterday, we had our Teachers' Day dinner @ Le Meridien hotel.... had lucky draws, food, games etc.. i managed to win the 26th prize, which was a $30 Takashimaya Voucher.... oh god,that was not wat i want!! i wanted the LG DVD KARAOKE PLAYER.... haiz... well, not going to talk abt it animore...

Was so tired,as i slept at around 1am+... today we had to go down to Seletar to view our album layout... we reached early... appointment was at 1pm.. but we reached Seletar at around 12.40pm....

The designer brought us to the room to view the layout... our album is kua ye album, with 14 pages... we were quite happy with the designs they made... just for 1 photo, which we wanted him to edit... n thats all... Bong has no much comments on the album layout design.. though in the beginning i had... but since he was ok with it, then it's oso fine with me... I was still praying that, hopefully it turns out ok, n dun make me feel disappointed with them... luckily,we didn't demand to amend here n there.... if no much of a prob,next month will get the albums n photos.. i oso gotten our wedding photos in CD-rom... soon, i think i will proceed down to MotionImage to get our photo montage done... YES!! another thing settled!!! can rest my mind in peace...

oh,i forgot!! i forgot to wish myself a very happy TEACHERS' DAY!!
