Updates

We started painting 1 of the bedrooms in our new flat last Sunday.. did the 1st layer of painting, most prob this Sunday will do the 2nd layer.. we painted this room Pink colour, which is just beside our master bedroom..

Did the painting with hubby,but he said this coming's painting session i need not go with him... bcoz of certain reasons here n there.. but i see how things go bah..

After this painting of the room, the next will b the other room.. we chose a blue colour!! looking forward to see the final results of the house!!

SBC Design Coordinator Victor told me that they will start doing the kitchen cabinet next week, so i assume it won't b completed by this month, which is 5 more days to the end of March.. but i'm also fine with it, as long as it is done b4 May. anyway we also haven finish our painting.. they will do the chemical wash after they completed their job.. so if we managed to paint finish, then they can also do the chemical wash for us,we can save some time to re-wash n clean the floor again...

We haven decide if to hold the house-warming together with the moving house date.. but that can be decided later.. Now there r some things which we both can look forward to!!! Shhhh...

We got the date for moving house!

I've always wanted to move into our new house b4 we go for our honeymoon in June, n finally, the date is set, n it fulfilled my wish!

Yesterday, went to Muar with hubby n MIL.. is to thank the deities, n also ask for a good date for moving house.. After checking some details, we were given 3 dates: 15/5/08; 24/05/08; 25/05/08.. It's b4 our honeymoon! YES!!!

After discussing with hubby, we decided to take 24/5/08, which lies on a Sat. actually the 1st date given to us was 15/05/08, Thur, but we were rather indecisive.. so,ask the person if there r any other good dates. so after checking, she said yes,there were 2 more.. after giving us the 3 dates, we went forward to ask da bo gong, to get his permission on which date to get.. da bo gong said these 3 r fine, it's up to us to choose..

We had to buy a set of candles, to be lit up after the things are moved into the new house on the date.. n an amulet.. there r some procedures, i asked hubby to remember...

After discussing, we decided to take 24/05/08! i really look forward to move in.. tat means we still have 2 months to finish up all the necessary works b4 we move in officially. House-warming won't b on the same day of course, it might be slightly later.. haven discussed on this matter yet as we wana concentrate on the moving house thingy.. after moving in,the next week,we'll be going for our honeymoon! wow,it's just wat i want..

Men VS Women

A few days ago, when i was driving, i tuned in radio FM93.3, n i heard an interesting information on Men & Women...

They said, when women r looking for their ideal partner, they would prefer to find a guy who has darker skin.. of course not super tan or what lah... but just a darker tone or slightly tanned skin tone... bcoz ladies want a man who is tall dark n handsome! haha..

for men wise, when they r looking for their ideal girl, they would prefer to find a lady who has fair skin.. bcoz in their mind, fair means purity...

but strange hoh, i was slightly dark.. n my hubby is fair.. hmmm,we r just the opposite.. wat a dilemma.. haha...

Happy Birthday my Pal, Kelly

Today is my pal Kelly's 26th birthday.. and today is also her 1st year wedding anniversary with Rod.. Last year, i was her jiemei cum emcee.. Last year Dec when i got married to Wentong, both of them were our emcees.. this year, she not just have her hubby to celebrate, but also the foetus in her body to celebrate with them..

We had known each other when we were in Sec1.. we were in Normal Academic stream, so we were in the same class for 5 years. we were in History class.. together, we had Jas, Gladys n Joreen in the same 5 years class. bcoz of this school, we got to know our hubby, who were just our seniors then.

Kelly & I had no quarrels. for wat i remembered, we only had 1 disagreement, just tat 1, n from then, no more.. she knows my character, so she knew wat kind of method works on me....

When she got married with Rod, i was really happy for her. i know Rod will treat her well n love her wholeheartedly. When we announced tat we were getting married too,they also gave us their best wishes. I still remembered, Bong proposed to me on the eve of their wedding.. Now, she is pregnant with her Prince.. Promoted to mummy in 1 year's time. She is really happily married to the man in her life.

Though we seldom meet as usual like b4, but our friendship still stands firmly.. n it will always be so strong n steady.. HAPPY BIRTHDAY my pal!!

Renovation updates

SBC Design started work on 6th March... today i went up with hubby again,to take a look at how much has been done in these 2 days...

I think completion of the work shld b quite fast.. mayb it's really within 1 month as wat Victor said..

Yesterday morn when i went up,they had started doing the base for the kitchen, washing machine n the fridge.. yesterday morn, CityGas was oso here to help install the gas pipes.. I asked Victor to oversee for us as both of us need to work. They had the L box placed in the house, but not yet installed.

Today noon,when we were there, the L box was already fixed onto the ceiling... we need to change the wire of the TV point to the other side,tats y they need to pull the wires all the way opposite. If they dun put a L box on the ceiling,then we can see the wire box very clearly.. Also good lah,with the L box at the ceiling,somehow won't make the ceiling so plain.. i told hubby i want a darker colour to paint on the L box.. it will be much of a contrast n will enhance the colour. We'll b installing 8 small lights ard the L box, so the wires will all be hidden inside this L box, together with the TV wires..

Every few days, we will make our way up there to take a look.. just now met up with Victor again later at ard 4.45pm.. to pass him the 40% deposit... Kelly n Rod were with us, so also bring them up to take a look.. Victor was supposed to meet the other contractor who will b doing the kitchen cabinet, so he waited for us at the new house.. I'm looking forward to more updates of the renov progress!!!

Our Honeymoon

Finally, we had booked our honeymoon venue: Japan!!! initially our target is only Aust Gold Coast, but dunno somehow, while we were walking in NATAS, our direction changed to Japan out of a sudden.. actually wanted to choose USA, as we can get to go LA, Las Vegas n my dream place San Francisco, but it was quite exp... so, after some consideration, we decided to go Japan..

We booked with Nam Ho agency.. will be going away for 5 days! will travel on 1st June, n back to S'pore on 6th June... This trip will focus on Tokyo.. we don't wana take the 7 days tour, which will also go to Osaka Universal Studio.. bcoz the 7 days tour is very packed n will b quite rush.. this 5 days tour is just nice.. just stay in Tokyo area.. n we will have some free time, leisure, where we can walk around on our own..

We'll be looking forward to the Disneyland!! n The Palette Town, which has ferries wheel... 1 of the largest ferries wheel in the world! i saw from I-weekly that among all those big n famous ferries wheel, this is in Tokyo is considered as the most romantic wheel!!! i'm really looking forward to take a look!!!! Wow,after waiting for 6 months after wedding, we finally can go for our honeymoon!!!!!
