what we did on Friday 28-08-09

had applied for childcare leave, as Jaden needs to go for his routine checkup... hubby also did not work OT..

Morn 10am at polyclinic.. waited quite long for our turn loh.. faint... nurse 1st wana do hearing test for Jaden.. threw some blocks towards the bed, n then use a machine to create sounds, see if he will turn to the side.. left side ok, but he did not respond on the right.. did the test again a while later, still the same.. played the machine a few times, he only responded twice.. got a bit worried.. nurse told me, mayb he felt restless, or tired liao.. ask us go home n observe..

went to take his weight, height, n measured his head circumference.. nurse say good.. 50 percentile.. not too big nor too small..

tested his reaction too.. used a toy in front of him.. he is able to follow the toy wherever the nurse put..

also let him try standing on his own.. nurse put a bright colour toy on the chair... ask mil to support him properly 1st, then let go, see if he can stand on his own.. n indeed he can!! made an apptment in 2010 Feb for his jab!!!

next, went to Vivo for lunch.. as we r going to Starhub.. help mil get another cable box to put in the room.. in order to watch SCV.. then meet up a lady to get my stroller toy!! n even brought Jaden to the outdoor playground.. i carried him n played the slide.. he liked it n even laughed!

brought him to play water, there's water coming out from the floor.. he liked it.. hubby let him go touch, n he loved it man!! haha..

felt so tired loh.. just go out for tat few hours.. went back home.. ard 4.30pm, mil n I brought Jaden to Gek Poh to trim his hair... screaming like mad again. haha.. but at least much neater, n look more like a boy liao.. hehe..

evening, went JP for dinner.. walked for 1hr+ b4 going home.. rest n let Jaden play a while at in laws' house b4 we bring him home.. n now he is sleeping in his sarong.. i gotta go offline soon, to bring him into the room n sleep liao. i headache.. so i think i need a rest now too!

Jaden & Princeton

Finally a chance for the 2 brothers to meet up again!!!

Yest sms-ed Kelly if they wana come over n visit Jaden.. n of course i miss Princeton too!! Luckily Kelly n I have telepathy.. actually had the same thinking!!

They came over with Tiantian... so cute..... Jaden was in a rather better mood yest.. Kelly & Rod had a chance to carry Jaden loh!!! This prince of ours quite fussy.. in the past when he was younger n dunno how to recognise ppl, he allowed Rod to carry him.. n now he starts to recognise ppl, he won't allow every1 to carry him

The 2 boys had chance to interact with each other.. n i'm so happy tat they came over n play with Jaden.... i wish both boys, together with Delroy, can b great play mates.. of course, i dun allow any Tom n Peter to play with my son...

Princeton & Jaden easier.. as we stay closer to each other.. n both born in same year.. play, go sch etc easier...

I wonder when Jaden learns to walk, he would b more adorable.. by then, Princeton shld b running around here n there liao.......

Busy Sat 22-08-09

finally yest we went to buy the tricycle for Jaden.. had been looking around, but nothing really catches my eye..

went to JP yest for brunch.. as Jaden slept until near to 10am then wake up.. brought him home on Fri evening.. by the time we were all ready to set up, it was near to 11am..

Went Kiddy Palace, decided to get this tricycle.. n oso bought 2 more toys for him to play.. this prince of ours likes to play with toys tat can roll/turn.. so went ard to see, n found that 2 not bad..

when we were going back to in laws' house, put Jaden in the tricycle, oh my, he liked it.. was smiling when pushing him back to the house.. haha...

evening, went to Lot 1 for dinner.. Jaden saw some kids playing at the toy ride.. he immediately wanted to get up from his stroller, wanted to play.. so we waited for the kids, then i put him in.. asked hubby to hold on to him.. mil found a $1 coin in her pouch, n we let him play.. of course, this playful baby loves it..

after a ride, we told him it's time to go back.. he still dun bear to go.. but we just carried him n went off.. he was happy.. kept smiling n laughing.. weekends normally didn't cook, so we will always go out.. but not too far places..

then night, Kelly n Rod came over.. had a great chat til near to 1am.. i miss Princeton... hope can see him later loh... n later noon, gotta bring doggy Coco for injection.. busy man...

Trying out new toys

Jaden is turning 9 months old next week....

By now, he has already acquired some skills.. but he haven sit up loh.. hmmm...


he is crawling rather fast now... but those kind of pulling his body against the ground type of crawling... very soon, i think he can learn how to walk liao.. coz now when we put him in walker, sometimes with the support of the walker when he is sitting on it, he can stretch his legs straight, as if standing...

We have a toy for him at home, those sort he can sit on, we can push type... he can also hold on to it n walk when he is ready to.. it was a gift from mil's frd when he was just born.. haha..



we r also sourcing for something like that. to put in my in laws' house.. just now at JP Kiddy Palace had seen some products.. Extra also got.. but plan to go Kids Mall see 1st b4 i decide.. Extra has more displays.. so we took 1 out n let Jaden try...

He was rather ok in it, but only willing to sit for a while, as he was rather cranky.. mayb tired liao.. though his back is much stable now, but just dunno y he couldn't sit up straight on his own..



We let him try on exersaucer, prams, motor-toys... will still continue to source til i find something that i like, n yet not so expensive... haha

SUPER long weekend

last week was National Day, so yest was a PH for us... but it didn't seem good as Jaden was sick again...

Brought him to the doc.. Jaden had slight fever, cough, blocked nose... Was given 1 day MC Childcare leave for today...

His fever come n go.. but til yest night much more stable.. n til today, he was still taking his fever medicine.. much ok liao.. tats y today kept making so much noise by crying, wanting to go out...

No choice, mil n I brought him out.. we went IMM for breakfast.. after which went to Giant to buy food, as mil said she wana cook dinner..

Saw the baby corner.. there was display of diff prams, n even a jumperoo.. we let him sit in the prams.. Jaden was obviously happy... playing with the pram toys.. n then we let him try on the jumperoo.. oh my, he loved it.... kept playing til we said it's enough for him.. i carried him out, n guess wat.. he protested by crying.. wanted to play somemore....

mil wanted to buy.. i kept saying no.. reminded her that he is learning how to stand liao.. if buy this, at most play 1 month or 2 n he won't wana play animore.. is a waste of money.. soon i think he can try out the pushcart liao loh.. mil thought for a while, think it's logical, so decided not to buy.. Jaden was unhappy of course haha..

Tmr, gotta go back to work.. Luckily Jaden is so much better now.. compared to the previous time when he had fever... He's going for his routine checkup 2 weeks later.. quite worried tat he still couldn't sit up leh.. gotta ask the nurse why..... haha...

I'm looking forward to Fri, as we'll b bringing him home again!!!

Breakfast with my relatives 08-08-09

brought Jaden home on Fri night... Our baby was having his play ball time again in his playpen b4 turning in...

Yest morn he woke up at ard 9.30am... MIL came to our house to wait for us, since she was ready n Jaden wasn't.. Jaden had his weekly swim 1st...after which, i let him wear the rompers that Xiaolin bought for him.. received my mum's sms to see if want to have breakfast together...

my bro was meeting my biao ge, biao sao n my granny at CCK... my mum followed us.. i tot since it's been a long time ever since my granny last saw Jaden, so asked if we can join them.. so, decided to go Yan Palace at Warren & Golf Country Club..

Had a great chat n eating dim sum session with them.. Jaden was in a rather good mood.. my relatives had a chance to carry him.. how i wish Jaden can allow them to carry a while longer.. but he was already good enough n caught us in surprise that he was ok...

b4 leaving, Jaden was already too tired that he needed his nap.. mil carried him in the sling n soon he fell asleep.. After our breakfast, we went our separate ways as they had their own programmes.. n we had to bring our precious baby back home to sleep.. Jaden was very tired..

Though it was a short meal gathering session, but i was very contented... I hope we can gather soon again.. coz i really miss chatting with them..

Jaden succeeded in crawling!

Jaden has been learning how to crawl.. but his way of crawling was really funny.. he would fall down n lie his head down, n then move his body in order to move forward, but today he did succeed in a better way of crawling!

This morn he was still reluctant in moving.. but when i came back in the evening.. he out of a sudden crawled!

He crawled out of the bumper mat to the ground.. i was shocked.. he was fast.. it's really just suddenly when he did that..

I quickly took my camera n video-ed down.. the earlier act was a better one, but i didn't manage to capture it.. was glad tat i managed to video down at least a short distance of his crawling process...

Phew, we were all happy.. told hubby n showed him
the video.. Hubby tried making him 'perform' again.. n Jaden did it again.. a fast crawl.. but at the same time i was worried.. gotta b more careful n prudent liao loh.. he is really moving quite fast...This was a new milestone of his learning journey.. he may not learn as fast as other babies, but whenever he learns a new skill, i'm just so happy n delighted... to me, nothing beats health.. the health of Jaden's.. I hope he can crawl even better 1-2 weeks later haha!

Hubby's 29th Birthday

today is hubby's 29th birthday... i'm on mc, due to gastric again.. doc say my stomach v bloated, mayb too much air... on 2 days mc..

This year's birthday is slightly different, as there is 1 more member who joined us last Nov, n that is Jaden.. but a pity, Jaden slept b4 8pm today, as he was super tired..

tried to wake him up, he was angry n was cranky.. bought a cake for hubby.. sing birthday song, cut cake n eat cake.. Jaden was still tired, not willing to come out of the room.. tried to snap pic of him n hubby quick b4 he make noise again

Bought the new Man Utd jersey for hubby for his present.. he kept looking at it, but can't bear to buy.. so i buy for him loh ahaha...

After hubby's birthday, the next to look forward to is my brother's... which is next week.. gotta fix a time with him to give him a treat liao haha!!

Last but not least, HAPPY BIRTHDAY my hubby!!

Jaden's 1st 'swimming' experience

brought Jaden home on Fri night.. bought a swimming set for him, n was delivered on Thur.. so happy!!!

Let Jaden try when he woke up at ard 9.15am.. put him in ard 9.35am, only let him try for 5min, n i carried him up.. hubby said dun put him in for too long.. scared he catch a cold.. Jaden was obviously not v happy tat he had to be carried out from the tub so soon... haha..

after changing him into a new set of clothes, we let him sit on his seat and watched cartoon.. he only watched for ard 5min n started to make noise.. I carried him n put him in the yao lan, n indeed he was tired again.. tat was only ard 10.30am.. he wanted to take his nap... so after resting in the yao lan for ard 10min, he dozed off... *faint*

Is he tired out so fast in that 5min swim?? we dunno.. but indeed Jaden enjoyed it.. I put the coloured balls inside for him to play.. he was enjoying the water n being able to float.. started to kick n kick in the tub.. can see from his expressions that he liked it.. din even have the look of being scared.. GREAT!

I told hubby, at least let him 'swim' once a week.. it's good for him.. actually wanted to bring him home tonight oso.. but who koes when we were outside the door, locked the door liao.. my PILs were standing inside saying goodbye to him.. Jaden pushed his body towards the door, wanted my MIL to carry him.. my MIL can't bear to see him go home, immediately opened the door n carry him over, n asked us to go back w/o Jaden.. no choice..... otherwise tot of letting him swim again tmr morn.... haiz.. think gotta wait til next week when we bring him home again liao..

If he likes it, i dun mind buying.. scared of buying something, but he dun like.... phew.. i'm looking so forward to his next attempt in swimming loh....
