seriously sick

i'm really sick this time...

last week after Jaden's birthday bash, both of us were down with bad flu.. brought Jaden to see doc on Sunday.. doc said we got the same virus, need many days to recover.. so i was on MC on Monday...

Jaden's cold n cough come n go.. was supposed to recover soon, but dunno y yest the cold came again... still slight cough.. for me, worse..

Tues went back to work with a bad cough and slight breathing difficulty, but still manageable.. Wed went to work, my situation went worse.. my asthma was getting worse... my cough too.. i had to get my work review done n pass it to my RO, n apply my leave for 2010's CNY b4 i go.. official knocking off time was 5.30pm, but i couldn't stand it...

I finished off the 2 most impt things n left ard 4pm.. my breathing difficulty went worse.. i endured n drove back home 1st to rest.. ard 6.30pm, i went to Gek Poh's clinic to get a queue number..

the staff measured my temp n it was 38.3.. when it was my turn to see the doc, i told doc i had breathing difficulty.. he listened to my breathing n said it was very bad.. need to put me in the other room to use the breathing mask.. ever since i got asthma when i was 19, this time to use this machine was really many years back liao.. i had to use the mask n breathe for ard 15min, n it got better...

went back to the doc, was prescribed with plenty of med... on MC again today.. n got me an inhaler again, as mine was expired liao.. initially tot this week was short, i could bring Jaden home today but haiz.. who koes i got so sick..

was restricted to get near to Jaden, as he was on the stage of recovering too.. MIL dun want me to transmit fever to him.. i can understand.. n felt sad too.. in 369 days tat Jaden came to this world, yest was the 1st day tat i couldn't carry him.. he saw me n cried for me to carry.. i was so sad... but something strange hoh, i fever, MIL faster carried Jaden away from me, but another person fever, she didn't loh.. some friends shld koe who i am referring to.. is she implying tat i couldn't transmit virus to my son, but other ppl can??

but btw, it was Jaden who transmit the flu virus to me loh.. haha.. i slept early at 9+ yest, had ard 14 hours of rest.. i think i really lack of rest, ever since i delivered Jaden... n still felt sleepy now.. rested for another 2 hours just now again after waking up for 1hour.. n dunno y, my hands r trembling... quite badly.. i smsed, oso like tat.. mayb bcoz i'm sick..

told hubby if i get better tmr, will wish to bring Jaden home.. but he said no.. he said wait til i'm fully recovered then can... but i think i need a few more days loh.... how?? so sad... later i want to go over to in laws' house to see Jaden.. hope they allow me to carry Jaden loh......

Jaden's actual day birthday

held Jaden's birthday on Saturday, which was his actual birthday.. invited my colleagues, friends, hubby's relatives, family members, friends n some of his colleagues over for a celebration.. not an elaborate one of course...

luckily this time round was a better one.. compared to his 1st month showers.. haha..the food was great n the propotion was just nice!! as for his cake, was delivered to our house tat day.. when i saw many friends reached, i asked hubby y not prepare the cake... we decorated the cake provided by the person who baked for us.. when we brought the cake out to the living room, the guests' reaction was "wow, so nice".. i felt great listening to that...

Sung the birthday song to Jaden.. n he was smiling.. though he wasn't on real good form too, but at least he smiled during the song..

Jaden received quite a number of presents!! n the toys tat he received are great!!! as we spent quite a lot on the cake as it cost near to $200.. n buffet wise, we chose Neo Garden.. we didn't get the cheapest menu.. tats y the red packets that we received didn't get a lot too.. but i was happy tat every1 enjoyed themselves at our small little house..

the 1 who started doing 'anithing' 1st will always win.. i shall see the other person's birthday will b like what.. i had the banner, i had the cute n nice cake, i had the albums of Jaden's pics taken everyday, i had the album of Jaden's photography at the studio with us (whole pkg), i had the album of the unselected pics of the photography session, i had the family gallery pics tat display some pics of Jaden with hubby n I, I had the pics of Jaden each month he grows up.. what does she have?? I shall see... let's see how hao lian that person can b.. wana b more hardworking??? too late......

some ppl just cannot afford to lose.. anything oso cannot lose out.. i dunno y.. but since Jaden is 1st, then the rest who do after him are copycats.. sorry i dun mean any other ppl.. those close to me shld koe who i am referring to..

Finally his birthday was over, n Jaden is 1 year old now.. but as usual, spoilt.. haha... i hope for nothing else except for his health n cheerfulness.. Happy birthday my precious!!!

Jaden's birthday party (part 1) 14-11-09

As i said in my previous post, Jaden's 1-year-old birthday party was separated into 2 days.. just had the 1st session yest.. with my family n relatives... about 20+ people came..

But Jaden wasn't in his top form yest, very grouchy.. reasons might be, too many people.. he didn't have enough nap time..

Ordered mini buffet from Neo Garden, the food not bad.. Cake from Bengawan Solo.. not bad lah, but i find it too sweet... overall still ok lah.. can pass..

Had a great chatting session with both my paternal n maternal relatives.. but of course a pity some relatives can't b present due to some reasons.. We find it better this way to separate the session, so tat we can have time for them..

Managed to have the cake cutting session though the main role was v angry n crying.. Hubby represented Jaden to cut the cake, as i pantang, cake can only cut one time.. Jaden will b having his 2nd party next Sat, which is his actual birthdate.. so he will cut the cake on that day..

I felt bad as Jaden was in foul mood yest... my relatives, esp my cousins dun have the chance to carry n take pics with him... but luckily all of them were v considerate n accomodating... waited for Jaden to wake up from his nap, waited for him to calm down n enter the house again for the cake cutting session... thank all of them for being such great people..

My 5th uncle n family, together with my bro n his gf stayed behind to chat n watch soccer together b4 they went home... chatted with them happily too..

I just hope Jaden can b in a better form next Sat, as the number of ppl coming will b more than yest.. most imptly hope he doesn't fall sick b4 his birthday.. scared he get the virus... i so scared all bcoz of someone who is SUPER buay zi dong... very upset n unhappy.. the more i think about it, the more angrier i get.. DAMN.. act pathetic, but pls.. the truth is tat person is lying.. watever she wrote in fb, pls dun blif..

anyway, i try to divert my attention to Jaden's 2nd part of party.. I thank my relatives n family for making time to come over n eat, chat, n not forgetting their red packets n gifts for Jaden.. i just wish to have a gathering like tat with them.. it's fun.. haha!

Prize letter from SPH 13-11-09

Ppl always say Friday the 13th is always a bad omen, but yest's 13th the Friday wasn't to us..


Brought Jaden home yest.. when we parked our car, i went to open the letter box, n saw this letter from SPH..


Oh, it was the prize tat Jaden won in Young Parents August issue 2009.. pictures featured in the magazine will win a prize.. when i spotted Jaden's pic in tat issue, i grumbled for a few weeks,as in i didn't receive any toy/prize from YP.. was disappointed as til now didn't get it.. after a few weeks, i gotten over it, as thought nvm, it's ok lah.. but now, after 3 months of the issue, we got the letter of notification, to go n collect the prize..



It was a late notification i can say, n of course, i didn't curse n swear, neither am I too happy about it, as it was already over for 3 months.. but still, i will go down n collect the prize.. must see when i have the time to go down lah.. haha..



As i said, although it was a late prize, but at least i have a new toy for this precious prince of ours again!! ahaha.. isit a norm for them to inform parents to go down n collect the prize so late? mayb i shld try to send in 1 more photo, n see if Jaden will get selected again.. if he's selected to b featured in the magazine again, i shall see if i really need to wait for ard 3 months for the notification letter..

Buffet & Cake settled!

Jaden's 1st birthday is coming!! as some ppl who will koe, we r having his birthday bash in 2 sessions.. 1st will be next Sat 14th.. only my family n relatives r invited for the event..

My family has 20+ people.. during Jaden's 1st month showers, there were simply too many ppl, n yet too little space.. so this year decided to hold 2 times.. my parents also agreed.. so that we will have more own time to talk n chat..

This noon, went to Pioneer Mall Bengawan Solo to order the Disney baby cake.. chose baby mickey.. paid the money n will collect the cake next Sat noon, as the buffet will start ard 5pm..

Just now went online n booked the buffet too.. got Neo Garden for this session of celebration.. ordered online, so gonna wait for its confirmation..

These 2 things r the most impt part to b settled.. dun plan to make it an elaborate event.. just want to have a simple meal at our own house, n celebrate this little precious' birthday together as a whole family..

As for 21st, which is Jaden's actual birthday, i've already ordered the cake.. buffet wise, shortlisted the vendor we wanted, will order next week.. same thing, no elaborate decor, just invite some of our good friends n colleagues, parents-in-laws' side relatives over... So fast, Jaden is turning 1 in 2 weeks time.. i hope for nothing else, but to bless him with a healthy body.. n b an obedient boy...

by the way, Jaden had his haircut on Friday morn.. now very much shorter... look not tat 'pretty' lah.. haha..

Dinner with ex-colleague Yifen

This ex-colleague of mine is a good friend tat i got to know in PHPPS.. she went to Aust for further studies last year, when i was still in my 1st trimester carrying little Jaden..


Yifen came back to S'pore last week. n managed to meet up with her yest for dinner n ice-cream! missed her so much..



I felt sad sometimes when i see those close to me quit one by one.. Weixin, Kris, ZJ..all the same.. left the service, n leaving me still struggling in the profession.. but of course, after they left the service, they went on with their life better!!! haha...



Brought Jaden's pics for Yifen to see yest.. she has missed out so much abt Jaden loh... told her abt Jaden's bday bash on 21st.. hope to see her at the party loh.. Yifen is a christian.. n whenever we go out eat, will make sure we'll pray together 1st b4 we start our meals.. in the past when she was still with us, we would go for lunch together b4 we start work, as we were teaching in the PM session.. n sometimes would even go out for lunch during holidays, or even KTV, to relax..



Yifen was one of the colleagues that i get along VERY well.. remembered when she decided to leave, i was rather sad.. we even had nicknames for one another then.. we called ourselves the vegetables group.. she was tapioca, i was bamboo (was v thin n slim b4 pregnancy), Ms Priya as the potato etc... it was so fun then..



Although now she'll b permanently staying in S'pore, but she has no intention to go back into teaching.. relief duties r fine for her, but not full time.. how i envy her.. but i still have 1 year to count down loh.. finally...



I'm looking so forward to our next gathering leh!!
