The day tat i had been looking forward to is finally here, the Jurong Lake Run 2014.
I was abit worried that i had to stop n walk, bcoz these 2 wks of work, i had no time to workout.
Planned was complete e run in 60min.. but i managed to complete in 57min! Hooray. It can b better if i did manage to go workout these 2wks.
There were plenty of ppl running. It was a great experience, really. I did not walk at all, surprisingly. I jog slow n no walking. Only stopped bcoz of drinking water.
6km... I never run b4 such long distance, n without walking. I am happy with myself. Haha. I really thank my sis for encouraging me to take part, n she is my source of motivation to go exercise. It's great to have my sis together with me. But of course she ran faster than me n completed e race earlier than me.
My legs r aching now... N i like e run, esp when it is evening jog! Haha, i no need to get tanned. But i sweat like nobody's business. Did not see any familiar faces, hope next time when i sign up other run can see friends around.
After 11mths of less stress lifestyle, i finally start off kicking in my new full time job on Monday 9/6/14.
Oh ya, of course is bcoz my $$ all used up le.. 30k+ just gone like that. During my 11 months of life, hubby did not increas
e any monetary stress. Watever i had been paying since til now i still pay on my own, tats y 30K+ in 11mths is not exaggerating.
I was really abit not bearing to go work, but reality is reality.
But somehow 1st wk of work was still ok, i think i will like this job somehow. Well, who say i cannot switch industry? Here i am, switching totally away from teaching, though i still continue with my evening/night classes on Tues n Wed. n wkend class on Sat noon til evening.
No job is holy n no job is low class. It all depends on your mentality. I never thought of being a teacher is any job holy. It's also a job, but a job with meaning n passion. The working place that i am working now is also v meaningful. Go to the web site n find out if u r interested.
There r many things for me to learn n catch up with as this is totally new to me. I dunno how much i will catch up but i will try my best. no job is easy, so we just need to learn n try i think.
I am happy that i am back to workforce somehow, as i can see $$ coming in, though when a new month starts, many things need to pay as usual. I still need to work bcoz i think in our age, we shld work. we r still young, must b in contact with the world. Family n kids r impt, but work too. During working hrs, concentrate on work. When knock off, divert energy n attention to family. My tue n wed will b far too tiring, as i will b working 12hr 'shift'... dead beat a few days ago after work n then tuition. N night time i need to fork out time to plan for my evening classes. Just like now, after blogging, i need to start planning for my Wed class.
It's not easy but i will try to hang on, unless my health is giving me warning. Well, i oso dun wish to chiong so much, but no choice. Ppl who koe my situation will understand. But still, do feel happy for me as i had found a new job. Haha. Thank you!
Yesterday after attending little Germaine's 1st bday bash, i need to rush home to prepare for e 2nd event of the night.
Yingshan, is a teacher, whom i got to know from FLS. A very funny n cute friend whom i got to know, n i like her very much in fact.
Yest was her wedding, n she looked gorgeous. I felt happy for her as she found her Mr Right. Bosses Cuifang n Pornsak were there too, n we were on e same table. Pornsak was oso her wedding host. They got to know each other v v long ago by e way.
Hope she can b v happy. She is the same age as i do. N hope can hear bb news from her asap! Happy marriage Yingshan.
1st June, a brand new start of e month, marked our new commitment...
We actually applied for a new BTO last Nov.... N March we were selected to go down to select a flat. N 1st June was our apptment to do e 1st downpayment of 10%.

I really hope our new residents/neighbours can b better ppl, or more civilised. Our block now has many crazy residents who simply love to slam their door, make super loud noises, screamings, shoutings, slamming of things to e floor, n watever noise they can make, we can hear. Wats worse was, they simply love to 'perform' such stunts in e midnite! other times of e day oso have such noise. it's simply noise pollution!
I really had enuf of these uncivilised acts, n i dying to move out. Though ard mid 2017 then can get e keys to our new flat, but i will wait. As long as can get out. Though i cannot guarantee new place will have such crazy ppl or not, but i sincerely pray there will not be.
After e payment on Sunday morning, our next wait would be for the flat to b ready. Slowly wait, slowly plan. I hope can do a simple n cheap house, haha. coz v broke. I just want a more quiet place for ourselves when we go to sleep at night, n not jump up all bcoz of the sudden loud noise in e mid of our sleep. Tats v irritating.
