Guo Da Li 18-12-07

Finally, we completed the Guo Da Li 2 days ago, which was on Tuesday 18-12-2007.. it was quite a pleasant n smooth event.. in spite of the rain...

They reached my house at 1pm, went to drive them over, as they need to carry plenty of things.. esp the cakes, must b careful, or else the cakes will b 'deformed'.. haha... after reaching my house for less than 10min, it started raining... thats close!!!

We started to exchange the stuff, returning the stuff, giving the various ang baos.. n chatted for around 1 hour, as it was still raining... although bride's stuff to be brought over are quite 'big in size', but at least only need 1 person to carry...

After the whole event, we used 2 orange juices to exchange for 2 bottles of wine, 12 cans of pig trotters, we return 2 cans... 26 boxes of wedding cakes, we returned 2 boxes, exchanged the same number of oranges ( 12 oranges ), exchanged paternal grandma's ang bao... gave n collected the various ang baos..they brought a pair of dragon n phoenix candles, we were supposed to take the dragon ones, n return them the phoenix ones.. these r to be lighted on the AD morn itself... n etc..

After the whole session, we started our journey to distribute wedding cakes n invitation cards to relatives... it was very tiring i can say.. but i was thankful that it was smooth n everything ended happily....

Wedding Updates - HIA wedding favours & Bedroom set

after some negotiation n discussion, we finally decided to take the Crystal theme for our wedding... n now,it's the wedding favour's turn...

I just received Ivan's email, regarding the wedding favours... he sent us 4 pictures of the wedding favours which we can choose from... n our 1st choice favour was available.. we were quite afraid that it wasn't available, as we met up on the 8th, tat favour wasn't around... so, when we saw the picture, we didn't think twice but to choose this favour.. emailed Ivan immediately tat we want that...

Discussed with Bong regarding the march in too.. we were quite disappointed with HIA is that, initially promised to have the stage at the other side, but now told us it's too cramp.. it's like hitting their own lips... but anyway, we had gotten over this matter, n is willing to have the stage back in the middle of the ballroom.. but we will b doing 2 different march in.. in the beginning, were so sad that the march in distance is as short as less than 30 steps... but now, though the stage n arrangement of tables remained unchanged, but the march in has changed.. we will do a different one for the 1st march in, n 2nd march in will go from the middle, which is less than 30 steps... so now, for banquet infor, we are done.. just that we requested Ivan to do a confirmed floorplan again, so that we can start planning which group of ppl sit at which table number...

Today,the bedroom set we bought from Brighton was delivered, at around 4+... wow,tat was quite a big 'project'... we cannot imagine when we want to move the whole set to our new nest, how we r going to dismantle everything, n when reach new house, how to fix it back again... hmmm... good question... bedroom set is not just to buy for new house, but it's also to prepare for an chuang on the 28th.. to make the room nicer with new furniture.. the stuff to b put on the bed will be done by Bong's mum.. the quilt cover set was collected yesterday at IMM... quite pleased with the set.. as it is very cute.. haha..

we r more or less done with our wedding prep... now is just hope that everything will run smoothly that day... n we will all enjoy ourselves for the 1 n only wedding... it's our big event after all!! CHEERS!

Wedding Preparation - Choosing of Wedding theme

Ivan sent me the pics of other 2 themes... now,dunno which theme to choose from... i'm waiting for Bong to decide which theme to take...

initially when Purple theme was introduced a few months ago, i loved it so much.. but bcoz of my EG's colour is slightly purplish blue, so afraid that i may merge into the theme.. so has to forgo.. but now Ivan said as long as we dun put the sash on top of the stage, it should b fine.. i find the sash on top of the stage too 'Malay'...

Copper theme was the newest theme in HIA.. it looks quite grand.. but Ivan commented that copper theme doesn't look nice in changi room...

Crystal theme, the most popular theme in HIA... i'm just afraid that it looks too common as many couples took that theme b4.. but indeed it is nice...

After seeing these 3 themes again, if given a chance, mayb i would take crystal theme or purple.. but must see Bong's decision on this.. hope we can come to a decision this week,so that we can notify HIA, n they can do necessary arrangement for us on our big day...

Wedding Preparation - GDL

these 2 days of my weekend were used to start preparing for our GDL on 18th Dec...

Yesterday,went to purchase GDL stuff with Bong n his mum... Groom's side stuff were bought... just that now need to buy those small small thingy like oranges... wines they will bring 2 bottles over that day.. after which, we went to HIA to meet Ivan, n his new superior.. after meeting with them for around 2.5 hours, most of our doubts n problems were solved.. esp the sitting arrangement n the march in distance... i had always wanted a long march in, so now after the new boss gave me some ideas, we can have a longer march in, where all the guests can see us clearly. but i'm not going to reveal how our march in will be!! keep in suspense 1st... the march in distance can be adjusted bcoz of the re-location of the stage... initially in the middle of the ballroom, now is beside the recept area door... so the ballroom will look much bigger n spacious.. we will have the curtains open, which makes the atmosphere more natural,where guests can see the greenery outside the terrace. as most of the banquets will have curtains closed.. wedding favours had 1 in mind, but no stock, so Ivan will contact the supplier for us,see if can get that favour.. if not, will take the other design.. theme wise,he will send me the pics of the other 2 themes, then we will re-choose again.. he will send me the new floor plan, then we can start to plan table arrangement...

After meeting with HIA coordinators,we went to JP to buy a new printer... Bong surprised me with a small blue rose bouquet.. i was delighted of course.. as he won't give me a surprise.. it was really beyond my imagination... thanks so much to my hubby..

Today, it's my turn to bring my mum to buy the GDL stuff for the bride's side... 4th uncle n aunt were with us... we spent ard 1+ hour there.. for us, all we need to get ready are, the oranges for exchange, ang bao money for the various ppl.. for AD, we also need to buy some oranges, 2 boxes of ferraro chocolates, so i think may get these things as well.. initially was worried, as GDL is the 1st event of our wedding thingy in Dec.. n yet we didn't do anything in regards of this GDL.. so felt much relieved that we finally bought the 'necessary' things for GDL already... now is to buy the stock.. wedding cakes will b delivered on GDL day itself... they will come to our house in early noon.. then, mum n i will go round to pass invitation card n wedding cake to relatives.. n will also inform them the time to reach my house for tea ceremony, n my ROM solemnisation...

Days r drawing nearer each day.. so far so good... preparation so far quite smooth... so all i pray is, on GDL n AD, it dun rain...

cover set i ordered a few weeks ago... she said it will most probably arrive btwn 11-12th Dec, which is next week... will give me a call when the stock arrives... if i didn't receive any call from them, mayb will make a trip down to ask, as the person who serves me will b going overseas... she told me she would ask a colleague to give me a call...

Early noon, went to Bong's house to wait for Winesymphony to deliver the 1 carton of red wine... Bcoz we r meeting Ivan tmr at HIA, so had to ask them to deliver the wine 1 day earlier... had gotten them n left them at Bong's house... but may have to purchase 1 more carton, as his dad commented that it might not b enough.. beer might not b enough too, as we only have 2 barrels, which is almost 90 glasses... so i think we need to buy 2 more carton of beer? i dunno... see how..


wedding prep so far so good.. only guo da li stuff need more attention, as this tradition comes 1st, in just 1 more week's time... gotta force mum to go n buy with me... Banquet infor, will try to get them solved by tmr with the help of Ivan... if can settle banquet thingy,i think my head won't feel so heavy...

Wedding upates

yesterday, we went for our furniture hunting... initially wanted to go Loyang, but in the end went to somewhere nearer... it's somewhere near yew tee... up more to the front... we went to 3-4 furniture shops, but couldn't find an ideal bedroom set... they r quite expensive.. so,after walking n searching, we walked up to another shop Brighton..

we walked around their shop, found their bedroom set quite comprehensive... the salesperson showed us 2 files of the bedroom set pictures.. but we prefer 1 of the set which was displayed in the shop itself... the price is comprehensive... with bed frame, 5ft sliding door wardrobe, dressing table, tv console, n a side table...

we dun want those kind of bed frame which is empty at the bottom... i was still considering, while Bong has already wanted to get the set... can see that he like it very much.. so, while waiting for me to nod my head, the salesperson said,if we really wish to get the set, he'll waive the delivery n installation charges... which is $107... after he said that, Bong was even more tempted to get it.. after thinking for a while, i nodded my head, agreeing to purchase the set.. n there we saved $107 on transportation n installation fees... after the calculation of GST, it cost us less than 1K... we were satisfied with what we bought..

this bedroom set will b used for an chuang, and when we r ready to move over to our new house, this bedroom set will also b placed in our new room... brown colour is much easier to maintain n match colour... requested them to send the whole set over 2 weeks later... hmmm,time for Bong to do his room cleaning... n get ready to decorate the new room...

Happy 4th Year Anniversary 27/11/2007

Today is our 4th anniversary!! no celebration as we already had our celebration last weekend... time flies... we had been together for 4 long years.. it seemed like we had been together longer than that.. mayb it's bcoz we had known each other for too long... this is the 10th year we knew each other..( our very 1st photo )

after this year, we will b celebrating each occasion as husband & wife.. we may not concentrate so much on this anniversary so much.. in fact, i believe we will focus more on our wedding anniversary date...

in this relationship, there were ups n downs.. it is a route which we had to walk across.. there will be a moment when both parties felt down in the r/ship, but it depends on how we are going to surmount this obstacle.. if u manage to cross this 'grey thin line', the r/ship will blossom, but if failed to, then it marks the end of the r/ship... i cannot say our relationship is smooth all way long.. but i am grateful that we managed to walk the path down 2gether..

We came across a moment when we felt unsure of each other.. i wanted to give up, but it was him who asked me to continue the route with him.. bitterness at 1st, and sweetness at the end.. though i cannot say he's the best man for me, but at least i know he cares a lot for me... something for sure, we will make the marriage work successfully, we will live together happily, we will love each other n care for each other wholeheartedly.. we will prove to those people who dun think good of our r/ship.. we will prove them wrong...

Wedding Updates

Here i am, updating my wedding stuff again....

Last week, Yifen n Zhiyong accompanied me to IMM to buy some things.. n also went there for kopi session as well... There was a store selling wedding things, it was located beside the 2 bridal shops... I managed to place an order for the quilt cover set for an chuang.. i showed a similar pic to Bong abt this bedsheet set.. he loved it too.. but i told him it's quite expensive... n he said just buy 1 set should b fine... there are 2 diff sets in the shop... in the end, i chosed the one with the couple cartoon design... estimated date of arrival of the set should b 2 weeks' time..n it cost us near to $150.. i like it very much.. an chuang things, his mum has settled.. so 1 thing done.. an chuang's date was set on 28/12/2007... date was given by the shi fu....

invitation cards had been distributed out to all my colleagues... other groups of friends oso give out liao.. only left some to be posted out.... Bong has also started to distribute his side... now wat we r troubled about is, his mum's side has increased a lot of ppl... we r troubled over this matter.. Ivan has given us 1 solution, n i told Bong just now.. he said he will talk to his mum again n see how... i hope we can settle this matter asap..

Our new flat - Jurong West St 64

we r still waiting for HDB's letter, to see when we can collect our keys... the 'fake walls' had been removed, so i saw some ppl drove in to take a look. though can't enter our units, but can take a look at the vicinity...

Our flat is connected to the carpark. So, there won't b any chance that we will get ourselves wet when it rains. the carpark is til 5th floor, while our flat is at the 7th... all we pray is, we won't b much affected by the noise.

i like the entrance at the roadside... which enter to our blocks of flats... looks like condo leh.. haha.. it is just a narrow way to the carpark. I hope we can collect the keys b4 New Year... but we won't b in a rush to move in yet.. so will do the necessary renov slowly as well.. We r planning to go for our honeymoon in June '08, so do hope to move in b4 that...

after wedding, our focus will b our new flat.. Bong said that, we will do a thing at a time.. our flat is a premium flat, so the flooring n toilet r all done.. i think at most we will need to paint the walls, do kitchen, buy furniture then we can move in liao.. we dun plan to employ a designer. we will do it simple according to wat we like.. we discussed, will do more n buy more when we r richer in the future.. so,our flat will b a very simple flat....

Wedding Updates - Personal Montage

MotionImage will be helping us to do our childhood to wedding montage... it will b played b4 the 1st march in... but we prepared another 1 to show the guests during cocktail til the emcees request the guests to b seated...

We prepared our personal montage, which consists of more photos of us, regardless childhood, or adulthood pics... Montage photos passed to MotionImage can't be too much.. so we prepared another one, to show the guests during their presence in the ballroom... some of the pics will not b projected in the DVD montage that MotionImage has done for us.. at least b4 the start of the banquet, guests will get to see 2 diff photo montages...

I got it burnt in a wrong format.. tats y during food tasting, we went to try the disc out, n it cannot b played... So,had to trouble my bro to help me...

Bro asked his colleague to get it done for me... So, the disc was ready on Friday.. Bro placed it on my PC table.. Yesterday, i went to try it out using a DVD player at Bong's house.. it can work!! well done Weiwen! but a flaw,the first title, Wentong's childhood, words r very blur, cannot see.. i think is the colour i put... but the rest were ok.. Bong said never mind, no need to re-do n re-burn another one..

so, another thing done... OUR PERSONAL MONTAGE!

Wedding Updates - Completion of ring pillow

Yesterday i received an email from the person who does ring pillows... she has completed doing our rng pillow... wow,impressive.. tats fast!! less than 2 weeks leh... initially thought that she might need around 1 month's time to finish, but who koes, it was so fast!!!

She did out a draft 1 week later when i've transferred 50% of the deposit to her, n informed her about the colour which i want, n the design we prefer... so i was supposed to reply her which draft i preferred a few days ago, gave her the reply 1 day later,n who koes, yesterday she informed me that it's ready.. i requested her to send me the pics, of the progress of the ring pillow.. n she is very kind indeed to do it for me... take pics, download n send to me.. so was quite grateful that she did it out of goodwill..

upon completion, she sent me the picture of our ring pillow.. i showed it to Bong, and he was very satisfied with it, as it's simple, with my favourite colour Blue, with our names n wedding date on it.. not elaborated or extravagant...

My colleague commented that, aiyo, so many things wana customised.. haha, but i told her, it's not tat expensive, so we dun mind customising... somemore, customising has some advantages.. it's special, only we have... i mean is, all ring pillows are the same.. but ours is done with the colour n design we want, n our names on it.. unless there is another couple who has the same names as us lah... so, it's customised!!! our very own ring pillow.... will meet her this weekend, or the next, to pass her the remaining amount and collect the ring pillow from her.. i'm very glad!

well well well,it's the 30th again... let me just summarise abt my wedding stuff

2 more months to my BIG DAY!! had done the following:

1) Collected my wedding albums n stuff from Seletar Broadway...
2) Food tasting
3) Mums' tea dresses
4) Re-trying of my EG.. had asked them to add more glittering bits on my EG
5) the making of invitation card to remind relatives of the Solemnisation ceremony
6) Customisation of our ring pillow!
7) Date for an chuang & guo da li
8) Selection of flat. ( waiting for approval of loan, n signing of lease )

Things not done:

1) Choosing of wedding favours
2) Choosing of wedding theme. ( had 1 in mind already )
3) Finalise guest list. ( almost 90% confirm )
4) Plan sitting arrangement. ( more or less ok )
5) Things for guo da li. ( ordering of cakes will b in Nov, my jia zhuang will get it done in Nov)
6) Send out invites. ( will start giving out grp by grp starting from this week )
7) Buy furniture to prepare for an chuang.
8) Food for the relatives on AD. ( had decided to order what already, but will book later)

More or less are these.. can't remember so much also... haha... starting from this week, every Sunday will b packed to meet diff grp of frds, for a gathering, n to pass them the wedding cards as well... COUNTING DOWN...... 30th Dec 2007!!!!

Food Tasting at Holiday Inn Atrium 27-10-07

we had our food tasting today at HIA... reached HIA at around 12.40pm... went to MotionImage 1st to pass them the photos, in order for them to do the montage for me.. but due to some photos which resolution were too small, i had to dig out some pics in hard copies and had to make another trip down to pass it to them...

went to meet our coordinator at around 1pm.. went into the Xin Cuisine,and waited for our food tasting dishes... which started at around 1.30pm...1st dish was this combination platter.. which has a glowing candle.. quite nice man.. having diff colours...

had all the 8 dishes... no much comments abt the dishes,as they tasted great... Bro n Bong liked the dessert.. the rice dumpling! the prawns were great too... very fresh n Q...

overall, we had good comments on the food.. initially i was thinking to change the Ee-fu noodles... but just now when we tasted it, not bad eh... i went to several wedding dinners, and their Ee-fu noodles were just ok... HIA's much better...

The steamed soon hock was a big fish! the chef said it's around 1kg... he assured me that on our AD, the fish will also b that big.. it surprised most of us, as when we go eat, the fish were always small.. but HIA's portion is big... n it's very fresh... though Bro said that the preserved vege dun really match well with the fish...

We didn't ask to change any dish.. as all of them nodded their heads that the food are all good... actually asked the chef is there's any other choices for the dessert.. but all so common, Bro said dun take.. he told me,it's ok just that it might b too full as a dessert... but those sago,n other common desserts dun interest me at all... they think that the red bean is a bit too sweet.. but the dumpling is super nice... so,we just asked him to make sure that the dessert isn't too sweet that day.. n he jotted it down our points too...

After the food tasting, we went to our ballroom n took a look at their layout, as there's a wedding dinner tonight.. we brought our CDs along to try it out... Ivan brought us to Seletar ballroom to take a look at the new theme, Copper theme... not bad, it's a new theme... Ivan said he'll take a pic of the theme n will send it to me.. then will choose the theme n wedding favours we want in Dec... i quite like it, so most prob will take the copper theme! favours wise, we like 1 of the favours... it's a secret... on my AD, then u see for yourself!

Wedding updates

Here i am... updating stuff on my wedding prep again...

Today,i took some time out to create a small card... a Solemnisation Invitation Card for our relatives... as we r holding our Holy Matrimony on the same day as our wedding day, so we will b busier than other couples... our solemnisation ceremony will b held in the hotel that same day.. but time is slightly earlier than the dinner banquet.. afraid that they will forget the time, so i decided to make a card, and will slot it into the invitation card... had given to Bong for approval... haha... just need slight amendment, then will print it onto the metallic white gold paper...

2nd thing to update... yesterday night was discussing with Bong, about our outdoor PS after tea ceremony. i told him, if we can think of other venues for outdoor PS.. initially shortlisted Botanical Gardens.. but think back, it's very common.. every1 go to the waterfall.. nothing new.. so after some discussions n suggestions... Bong asked me a question which woke me up for new ideas!!! He asked me,what if it rains that day? he suggested to go to our hotel for the PS instead.. hmm,y didn't i think of it? HIA is a good place too! i like the atmosphere there.. esp the lobby, n the space outside the ballroom... lightings r very romantic... we decided to have it there,n most imptly 2 places that we can't miss: Wedding suite, n the ballroom itself! GOOD idea i told him! n of course,i had always wished to have our brothers n sisters going to have the PS with us.. so we have 1 more place to go b4 proceeding to the hotel for PS.. is to NTU!! the park opposite the heritage centre!!! after the brothers n sisters had their pics taken with us,then we will proceed to respective places.. they go change clothes n do makeup,while we 2 go hotel for the rest of the PS!! we loved the idea!!!

3rd thing: Bong agreed to have our ring pillow customised!!! YES!!! i've contacted the person who does customised ring pillow! asked her to make it light blue.. n had the design i wanted.. now is to wait for the person to send me the wording style i wanted.. n how the ribbons n matching of colours of other decorations on the ring pillow,i leave it to the designer. hope she can send me the necessary infor soon, as she needs 1 month to complete... So happy!! after wedding, the ring pillow can put near our bed, to put our rings there when we r going to bed...

Hope i can follow up my wedding prep promptly, as there is no much time left. Though lots of ppl commented that i'm already very fast... tats y until now, i still dun feel the heat.. as i know most of the stuff, or to b more precise, the more troublesome stuff, we had already settled.. now is to wait for next Sat's food tasting at HIA, n passing of pics to MotionImage for the making of our photo montage!!! looking forward to it!!!

Wedding updates V - HDB appointment

it wasn't really related to my wedding updates.. haha.. coz it was supposed to b posts regarding to my wedding preparation.... but i think,getting married is not just getting wedding gowns, taking wedding album photoshoot, banquet... it should also include flat, n other stuff...

for those friends who koe my updates rather well, should know we had an appointment with HDB today... we reached early to get our queue number... n surprisingly, as our number was D0096, when we were there, the number has already at D0092... so we waited for quite some while, for ard 20min.. by right, the queue number will be called in sequence... so we were praying that by the time it reached our number,our 'shortlisted units' are still available...

but dunno y or somehow, the next number being called was D0095, after ard 20min later, our number was next... we went in, the lady asked if we had any units in mind.. Bong told her the block n unit we wanted, and luckily we managed to get it... she explained so many, regarding personal infor, salary, n forms, i already blur liao... quite troublesome as there r quite a number of forms n documents to get ready... so after paying the 2K deposit, we had to send the required documents n forms over within these 2 weeks.. had to wait for their letter to see if our HDB loan is approved or not, how many years of loan we can get, when go down sign etc... we spent ard 1 hour+ at HDB before having our breakfast cum lunch...

if all procedures are smooth n successful, we should b able to collect our keys in 3-4months time... btw, we applied a 4-room flat in Jurong West... our block will b 675A... 7th floor... floor area: 91sqm....

Blissful Brides Magazine Aug-Jan2008 Edition

Yesterday, i went to IMM with Bong n his family to Long Beach for dinner.... to celebrate his mum's birthday....

After dinner, we walked around, til i walked past the newspaper booth, i stopped to purchase Blissful Brides magazine. though getting married in another 2 months' time, but i still have the habit to buy the wedding magazines to take a look at the gowns n stuff...

I was reading the mag at his house, when i read the page which advertised Seletar Broadway Bridal Shop, which is the BS i engaged with, i saw a picture which was so familiar!! our wedding photo was published in that page!!

I was screaming, and all of them thought i was crazy.. i was laughing... then i showed them the page... though it was a small picture in the page, but it was a pleasant experience! this picture was 1 of the rejected ones... we were surprised that they actually published into their advertisement. Uncle did inform us last week, that they took 1 of our indoor church photo for display.. but i thought it was for the road show, so i didn't pay much of a notice... but who koes, it's in the magazine...

When we went for photo selection, Uncle told us that they loved our pictures, so eventually let us signed an agreement notice, that we allow them to use our wedding photos for display. Uncle loved our church photos, but we only like the ones we took outside the church, n not inside the church....

It was really a pleasant day to see our photo in the magazine... though it's taken back to back... but for ppl who koe us very well, might b able to recognise us, or even find the pic familiar... a small pic, but we were already very pleased, coz not all couples' wedding pic will b chosen to help their BS advertise... we felt blessed... i tore the page down, and will be keeping it.... by the way, it's page 237...

Dad's birthday 08-10-07

Today is our Chin family, Old Dog's birthday... We went to his favourite food court to have dinner... I went to fetch my bro 1st,then made our way to St91... we ordered the food 1st, then my parents arrived...

We ordered his favourite seafood CRABS!!! ordered 2 of them... some meat, vege, soup... N of course, not him paying the bill...





Everything was fine, just tat something was short... guess???



It was my sis Angie... well, babe, do u miss the food here??? Felt strange w/o u having birthday dinner together as a family... must come back soon ok?? stop trying to make it a secret!!!! All of us hope u can come back earlier....


Dad is turning 49 this year.. this old ah beng always eat so much of high cholestrol food.. mayb need u to persuade him!!!

Received HDB appointment letter

A piece of news,but dunno if it's good or bad...

Bong received the appointment letter from HDB, given a date 2 weeks later, to go down to HDB hub to select flat... Our date is 15/10/2007.. I dunno our appointment lies on which day of the selection period... Bcoz the web site has not updated anything abt our July ballot thingy...

I read up the article about the shortlisted applicants...
HDB will first invite applicants up to 2 times the flat supply to select a flat, before inviting the rest of the applicants who are further down the queue (subject to the availability of units and ethnic quota).

Booking of flats by the applicants with queue numbers exceeding the flat supply would be subject to availability of flats and ethnic quota when their turn is due.

number of flats were 54... my number is 96.. so our queue number is considered as the one which is exceeding the flat supply part... so i can't determine if we manage to get it this time.. no confidence... Bong will go n apply leave for this event... i was also planning to apply tomorrow, but take a look at my diary.. 15th no need to apply at all, bcoz 15th is considered a holiday for us... haha... wasted!!!!!! Now,all i can do is to pray n pray, that HDB can give us this wonderful wedding present....

Wedding updates - E-file

Yesterday, Bong n I finally got to e-file our marriage notice online with ROM office... 26th Dec has to make a trip down to ROM office to do the declaration... both our dads will b our witnesses..

Downcounting to my wedding day... but these few days had been feeling rather unwell... my stomach flu has been with me for the past 4 days... last thur was on MC due to my headache... but later that night,my gastric started to cause pain,which made me sleepless for the whole night, n still need to go back to work on Friday... so the stomach pain kept making me feel sick for the past few days,until today... simply no appetite to eat.. well,another good chance to slim down... haha just joking...

After e-filing our marriage notice, i felt more secured.. not in the way that i finally tie this man down with a marriage cert, but a relieve that, we had settled another thing, b4 our wedding day.. we anticipated that some hiccups will still come on the AD itself, but we will try to minimise as much as we can.. tats y i want to do some things asap.. like BS stuff etc... so after waiting for so long for ROM office to release the date, we finally submitted our application... More things coming up this month... collect albums n photos from SBway, food tasting, meeting with our PG & VG etc... exciting month....

Wedding updates IV - not that pleasant

i was browsing the HDB web site just now... as i wanted to know more about the family season parking ticket... may need to purchase 1 ticket to put at Bong's house... paying $45/month, and can save some hassle... every Sat after having meals with his family,we will drive them home 1st,then will drive the car back to my house carpark,then from there will walk back to his house.. coz we always can't b sure how long we would have to stay there.. Bong dun want me to waste coupons, or even risk to escape from being fined... so this new approach is a good choice...

it happened that i saw the page, which stated the July's ballot exercise results were out... i used the registration number to log in and see if we got a queue number... n indeed we got a queue number... but it wasn't a pleasant one... we got number 96... which was larger than the number of units available for purchase... i was caught surprised!!! we were placed in the priority scheme, under 1st timer, married child scheme... should have 4 more chances than other applicants... Out of the 54 4-room units,we were placed 96... oh my!! i called Bong to inform him abt this... i was rather disappointed, as i tot we would sure have a great chance to get the unit this time... We'll be receiving the notification letter soon, regarding our appointment date n time with HDB..meanwhile, we will have to observe the sale of units through teletext, to see if we still stand a chance when it's our turn... i was quite sad that i told Bong that we might not succeed again this time round... i dunno... another upset....

Wedding updates III

Just now, i met Wanqiu at The Concourse to buy Children's Day gifts for our children....

When we were walking around the shops, i happened to see this packet of banner... Although it wasn't what i really wanted as a banner, but it looks OK too... So i bought 2 packets.. 1 to put at Wentong's house, the other 1 at my house... i oso planned to put 1 of it at the banquet in the evening... most prob place at recept table...

Actually wanted to create 1 on my own... but since i can find it, then i can save some trouble... no much time to handle all these... these few weeks had not been touching anything regarding our wedding stuff, coz school work is rather busy... I hope i can have some time to settle some things... though a lot of ppl said that my stuff are actually 70-80% done liao, which i oso agreed lah... i count myself lucky that i insisted to settle invitation cards, BS stuff, programme flow etc asap... at least now no need to b so stress that being afraid this thing not done, that thing not settled... btw,i oso had printed wallet sized wedding photos for some of my friends from Kodak!! also done the lamination there.. so will give out the mini photos to them,and those closer ones...

2 weeks later can collect all my stuff from Seletar Broadway liao... end of the month will have food tasting, and also choose wedding theme and wedding favours!! if that is done, really no much to follow up, except going through the whole event with our helpers that day, and rehearsal.... 1 more week,and we'll know if we manage to have a queue number to select our HDB flat.. hope this time is successful...
