Pre-Anniversary Celebration

exactly 2 months later will b our 1st year wedding anniversary... but we won't b able to go out n celebrate as i'll still b at home doing my confinement.. somemore today is my checkup with gynae, so both hubby n i won't b going to work... so we decided to go HIA eat buffet dinner to pre-celebrate our anniversary.. had gotten a 1-for-1 voucher from Courts, so grab the chance to go eat b4 i deliver

seen my gynae this noon.. didn't see our son in the machine.. only checked his heartbeat n the dimension of my big tummy... 34cm if i didn't forget... gynae said the length is ok.. she touched my tummy n said bb's head is downwards now, which is normal when we r near to delivery..

Gotta go back to her to check for water level 2 weeks later, which is my 37th week of pregnancy.. which also means may deliver anytime by then... looking forward n at the same time felt scared of the pain that i'm going to go through..

When we went back to HIA, it really brought us a lot of memories.. nice memories.. had our solemnisation there.. had relatives n good friends to share our joy at the banquet.. everything was so nice then.. we still love the atmosphere there.. it gave us a warm feeling.. didn't regret holding our big day at HIA.. Happy Anniversary!!

Cut hair liao!

Went for my haircut yesterday.. the length was somewhere shoulder length lah.. so much shorter than my usual hair length, but can still tie up...

It's been 11 years ever since i cut short hair.. my last short hair style was when i'm 15 years old.. every1 commented that i looked very young when i had short hair... so i got fed up, ever since i dun keep short hair... always had long hair, til now, 11 years later, here i am, with short hair again!! oh my...

I always loved my hair.. haha.. but no choice, i gotta get myself mentally prepared for confinement... of course, many ppl said i looked more refreshed with short hair.. but i prefer long hair, as i can tie n do many diff things to it.. my hair is naturally straight, but i always liked to make it curl..

Trust me, after confinement, i gotta make sure my hair will b long again!!!!!

Getting ready to welcome our boy

yesterday went to IMM with hubby, MIL, wenxian n xiaoling.. we had breakfast there n did some shopping...

brought hubby n MIL there bcoz wana let hubby see the playpen, then decide which kind of playpen to buy for our boy... after some discussion n explanation from the sales assistant, we decided to get the blue playpen.. it has Tazmania cartoon on it.. it can be lowered when he wants to play, then can let him play inside the playpen.. then it can b adjusted to a higher level when he is going to sleep..

As time draws near, the days our boy is joining into the family is arriving soon.. but of course dunno when, coz i opt for natural birth, so gonna see when he wana come out loh haha.. after carrying him for so many months, so fast now 8th month liao.. going through the pain stage soon, which is the delivery.. ppl asked if i'm scared, i dunno how to react, bcoz the time hasn't arrive, i oso dunno how much i can endure.. bcoz of this boy of ours, i've not been drinking coke, coffee, pineapple drink for many many months!!! how i wish to drink again after delivery.. but MIL said i have to watch my diet for the next 40 days after delivery to build my health back.. so after the delivery, still gonna wait for at least 40 days..

We r looking forward to his arrival.. next week going for gynae apptment again, hopefully everything goes on smoothly, n our boy will be healthy n cute!

As some ppl who know, last year when i signed up my bridal pkg with Seletar Broadway, our photo was selected as 1 of the display picture for them to advertise in bridal magazine n during their roadshow..

the rejected photo was taken in a church located in Hougang.. the uncle got it nicely framed n touched up, put on the wall for display last year.. Wanqiu n I saw it with our own eyes when we were shopping at Suntec last year.. they always had road show there..

Uncle promised me to give me after the roadshow, but always didnt receive their call.. as time goes by, i also gave up that they would keep..until yesterday...

After visiting Kris' house, i went to meet up with hubby's cousin n his fiancee.. accompany them to some bridal shops that she has shortlisted.. dun wish to say more abt the wasted trips to Tanjong Pagar.. After visiting 2 shops there, we went to Seletar Broadway

Meiqin was the 1 who served us the whole session yesterday.. after some discussion, they decided to sign up with Seletar.. Surprised that they still remembered me.. oppss.. mayb blacklisted me last year liao.. haha... i was talking to Meiqin abt the photo tat they had promised to give me.. so kept asking her.. she went to ask that tall tall uncle.. uncle said he did keep it in the shop, n i requested to have it since it was his promise.. he joked about paying money for it if i want, but of course i told him he didnt mention i need to pay leh.. haha

So after that, he really took it out from the room, still nicely maintained.. he said it cost 1K+ as he did it big n the touch up things.. very nice lah... so bo bian, he gave it back to me,i should say that.. haha.. who ask him to promise me.. but anyway, i brought someone to support them, casually asked abt the picture oso not overboard right? i was just trying my luck to b frank.. haha

So, after tat, they helped me to carry this big picture back.. hubby was surprised that i managed to 'ask' for it... haha.. but now coz near delivery date, cannot put any nails or wat, so most prob will hang it after i deliver.. I FINALLY GOT IT BACK!!

So bored w/o hubby

Life in s'pore is really tedious n fast-paced... every1 is working so hard to earn a living.. work from morn til the sun sets, some even had no free time for themselves, just simply digging themselves in the work...

This weekend is again one without hubby.. he was pointed to provide support for Sat's OT.. n Sunday is always his shift, so there goes our weekend... His supervisor promised him tat he won't b touched for the coming next Sats, as i'm drawing near to delivering..

Though had gotten used tat hubby can't accompany me on Sundays, as he already started wrking for this company b4 we got married.. but i was really reluctant to see him go work on a Sat..

Sometimes i got so bored tat i spent all my day at home surfing net, taking nap... But yesterday i didn't want to.. i went back to my parents' place.. dug my bro up from his bed, n asked him to accompany me to sing KTV... after going for lunch at taman jurong, we went opp Partyworld to sing.. bro said Kbox has little new songs.. he didn't know Taman Jurong Market there has a Partyworld.. so i brought him there.. by the way, it was also my 1st time visiting that branch.. but i had seen it there b4 lah, so i know..

We sang near to 4 hours b4 going for dinner with our parents... time just flies after singing our hearts out.. i got to see hubby again liao at night..

Today, he went to work as usual.. n i will always wake up to greet him n talk to him a while b4 he leaves for work.. today's prog for me also exciting hoh.. haha.. i will be leaving to my colleague Kris' house soon.. having a gathering there with other of my PHPPS colleagues.. Kris will b cooking lunch.. She lives at Wdlands, a place i'm very unfamiliar with, so gotta set off early to find my way there.. i will leave early as i'll be meeting hubby's cousin n his fiancee.. will accompany them to some bridal shops n see what i can bargain for them..

Hubby is happy tat there is someone to accompany me, as he is also scared that i'm alone... but no choice lah.. gotta earn more money!!

Pram for our boy

spent 4 hours at IMM just now with mum, 4th uncle n aunt.. we eat, walk around, n shop for pram..

the initial pram tat we were interested in wasn't too suitable for our newborn bb.. so the salesperson recommended us a few more.. n we were happy with this particular one..

after listening to the explanation from the salesperson on how to use the pram n etc knowledge, we all agreed to get the pram...

sis mentioned long ago that she will sponsor the pram.. i've been looking around, making sure i dun buy a pram which is too exp.. coz dun wish to spend sis' money too much oso.. there r some prams which cost at least $300.. this is ok, $239... n somemore has my favourite BLUE colour, so i told mum i wanted this.. coz the one in display was a pink one...

After buying the pram, 4th uncle helped to carry.. after a fruitful trip to the Kids Mall, we chatted n drank tea.. 4 hours later, we left IMM... another thing bought!! so happy!

gynae apptment 09-10-08

went for my gynae apptment yesterday.. we double confirmed our bb is a boy as we can see his 'organ' so clearly this time, compared to the other time..

he is growing well.. approximately 2kg liao.. wanted to capture a closer look on his face, but this time, he covered his face again like the other time.. he was sleeping yesterday when we were doing the scanning.. his hands covered half of his face...

My next apptment will b 3 weeks later.. by then, will need to go back to my gynae every once a week liao.. as by then, i'm already at the stage of 'ready to deliver' anytime..

has chosen the A1 ward, which is 1 person in the room... i dun wish to share the 4 persons room, which is B2, though it'll b much cheaper.. as i prefer privacy.. if i want hubby to stay with me, at least he can sleep in the room with me... i just hope the delivery process is smooth, so that no complications.. baby will deliver smoothly, n my hospitalisation bill won't b that expensive oso..

will b waiting for our precious boy's arrival!!

Sherrie's Wedding 04-10-08

hubby accompanied me to Sherrie's wedding last evening.. Sherrie was one of the Seletar Broadway bride tat i knew online.. n we got along well.. so during her wedding, she invited me, n Lawris..

Her wedding was held at Le Meridien, which is now Concorde Hotel... Funny, hotels like to change name every now n then.. in the past, the banquet venue tat we held at Holiday Inn Atrium was called Concorde, n now this name 'Concorde' is used on Le Meridien liao..

I've always missed our wedding, though it was over around 10months ago.. the atmosphere in the ballroom was good.. in fact, i went there b4 as we had our TDD there 2 years ago... but then, the food sucks.. now, the food is much better.. mayb is bcoz the change of management n etc reasons..

We enjoyed the dinner a lot.. the wedding favour i oso like.. haha.. it's a coaster.. with the picture of a cartoon couple.. Though hubby n I left b4 the dessert came, but we really enjoyed ourselves there... May u have a blissful marriage ahead my friend!!
