March 2009's issue of Mother & Baby magazine

after preggy with Jaden, i started to buy diff kinds of parenting magazine, Mother & Baby, Parenthood etc...

read about some parents' stories, checking out stuff out there etc information...A couple of weeks ago, when i read Feb 2009's Mother & Baby mag, saw a page where parents can share their babies' photo by submitting.. no prize of course, it's just sharing with other parents of your babies' pictures.. i tried my luck by submitting Jaden's picture.. the pic we used for his baby card during his full month celebration, which was also my inlaw's favourite photo.. didn't think so much whether it will be chosen n published in the next issue..

A few days ago, when was in 7-11, trying to buy I-weekly, but couldn't find, n found the new issue of Mother & Baby mag out for sale liao.. so as usual, bought it lah..

Didn't remember about the pic i submitted a couple of weeks ago to this magazine.. put in my bag n didn't read much as was having a terrible headache tat day.. next day, got the momentum to read, so took out the mag n read..

dunno y, just simply flip to the 2nd last page, where the babies' photos are published.. after some glances, found out a familiar picture in the page, n that was our precious prince Jaden!!
I showed hubby the page, n asked him to see carefully, any familiar faces.. he also took a while to realise that his son is in the magazine.. haha.. told MIL that n showed her too.. MIL said he is indeed photogenic...

I dunno how many parents actually shared their babies' photo n submit to the magazine.. n dunno if they did shortlist a few then choose n publish or wat.. i was just happy that Jaden's pic was published n was elated to share..

MIL asked me to try submitting 1 more pic of him, which she liked very much, then see if he will b selected again.. i gotta find time to upload n send, then see if the next issue has him inside or not...

Dun b mistaken that i'm trying to show off or what, coz i dun think there's anything to show off or what.. coz some ppl may think i'm trying to show off, during wedding, picture used by bridal to publicize during roadshow, pic used by bridal to publicise in wedding mag, n even sharing love story by Style Weddings, n now, son's picture chosen to publish in mag also must say..
i just wish to share this news to my friends, just simply wanted to share tats all.. in fact, i do encourage other couples to do the same too!!

Parents out there, if u r willing to share your babies' pic, can consider submitting to the mag ok??

My new liability

had been guilty tat i haven showed my sis the new liability i collected many days ago...

collected my new liability on 13th Feb, Friday the 13th.. n it's also bidding goodbye to my ideal n precious Picanto...

Favourite colour is blue, everything abt me n the stuff i bought for Jaden was blue... but this time, it wasn't blue animore.. not bcoz i dislike blue already, it's just tat i wana change an environment of driving.. n during drive test, i requested to drive an auto car, just to see if i can get used to it.. i liked to drive a manual car, different from other ladies out there.. i think driving a manual car, the speed n everything is within my control, but if drive an auto one, speed cannot really control... but i wish to change, and a coincident that auto no longer has blue, only left red.. so out of no choice, i took red loh.. but at least something to b comforted, i can drive both manual n auto car...

also changed to ownership to my own name.. previously, Picanto was under my uncle's name, but this time wana own it myself...

after making a big loss for my Picanto, topping quite a several thousand dollars, i went to collect my new liability with the company of hubby... even until now, i haven remove the plastics in the car loh haha.. simply lazy lah...

Cars r not assets at all.. so nothing to b proud of or show off... i hate ppl who show off or super proud just bcoz they own a vehicle.. it's liability!!! behind all the arrogance n showing off character, it's all slogging to pay for the face u want... worth it??

i'm not proud at all for owning a vehicle, or driving a vehicle.. it's just tat i want to have convenience when going to work, n driving my family esp Jaden to places... though no longer blue, but i got to get used to it asap that when i go carpark find my car, i cannot go after blue, but red...

Jaden is 3 months old!!!

today marks the 3rd month of Jaden's arrival to this world!!!

went for my good friend Ting's daughter 1 year-old birthday bash.. Ashley's birthday is actually this coming Mon, but Ting pushed forward... cute cakes, cute cupcakes n CUTE little Ashley!!! Missed talking with my colleagues as there's quite a number of them attended the party too!! i also can start down counting my days to go back to work.. 1 more month to go, n i have to b separated from Jaden, while i go to work during daytime... sad..

Jaden is growing well, VERY chubby now too haha!! a very good sleeper, better than me.. always laugh at him that he drinks milk is as if he is taking sleeping pills.. sometimes after drinking, he will doze off n knock out very soon.. as if he is very tired.. the hours he sleep is VERY VERY long!!

Can't bring him out when he is asleep.. he is considered quite light sleeper lah.. if carry him out from his sarong or bed, he will scream n cry.. so when it's quite late n he doze off b4 we can carry him home, then we can forget abt bringing him home, n gotta let him spend the night at in-law's house..

He is learning how to flip.. mayb he is too fleshy, or head too heavy (haha), he can't do it.. can only turn his body to 1 side but just can't get his body up.. haha.. with the help of my MIL, he can, but must support him.. n when push him up, he will make a noise, as if he is putting in a lot of strength..

He is learning to look at his hands now too.. stare in daze at his hands, n when he is in sarong, he will put his 2 hands together, n play with his hands.. i blif very soon, he can grab hold of his toys more firmly.. he is still exploring his body n the environment.. But a cheerful baby as he loves to smile, n talk to us.. when sing song to him, he will yee yee ah ah n trying to talk...

I'm so glad he is growing up well, n very curious of things around him.. ppl said babies who sleep a lot will grow flesh, n indeed my son is growing quite a lot.. haaha.. but i koe if babies sleep a lot, their brain cells are actually more active than those who dun really sleep.. does tat mean they will learn faster?? dunno leh.. but at least i dun have to worry abt him vomitting after every few hours liao.. seeing him sleep soundly, i felt so comforted to have him with us.. Hope to see u growing up well my precious prince!!

Baby's growing stage: 3rd month

宝宝手脚的活动越来越强烈。仰面躺着时，两只胳膊的活动越来越频繁，腿部力气也增大了。把他抱起来，让他站到母亲的膝盖上时，跃跃欲试地想跳。手能抓住玩具并掌握很长时间，时不时会把拇指或拳头放在嘴里快活地吸。会仔细看自己的小手，双手握在一起放在胸前玩。对周围的关心也越来越强烈，出去游玩时，就会露出好奇的目光。

听觉上发展也较快，已具有一定的辨别方向的能力，听到声音后，头能顺着响声转动180度。语言上也有了一定的发展，逗他时会非常高兴并发出欢快的笑声。当你和他对话时，他的嘴里还会不断地发出咿呀的学语声，似乎在向你表达他的意愿。

此时宝宝的视觉会出现戏剧性的变化，眼睛更加协调，可以同时运动并聚焦。对一些物品有了一定的认知度，比如当他看到奶瓶时，会知道他将饱餐一顿。

Our Gathering 15-02-09

yesterday, my pals came over to our house for gathering cum chat.... someone is missing n that's hubby as he need to work...

the Tay family came to 817 to fetch Jaden n me over, as Jaden was spending the night at my inlaw's house on Sat.. was so happy as it's time to catch up with one another n see Jaden's elder brother Princeton!!

reached my house b4 Jas n Gladys arrived... after they came, started our usual chat while precious Jaden lies in his sarong n rest... Gladys is in her 6month preg liao.. bought Delroy some mittens n booties when we were in Kedah, passed to her liao.. n pampers too.. let Delroy try out 1st then deicde which brand to buy in the coming future..

After which, Jeremy ended his work n drove over.. we agreed to have dinner together.. so b4 we proceed to makan, Rod drove me to my inlaw house to put Jaden there, then to their place to put their maid n Princeton home, then we proceeded to st41 to eat! when i was carrying Jaden, Kelly helped me with my bag n even helped me open door.. she very li hai, already koe which key is to open which door liao!! haha..

7 of us eat so much n had our chat... luckily all of us can click with one another, otherwise very awkward.. always looking forward to Delroy's arrival, can imagine the situation where 3 brothers playing together loh.. hehe.. will try to meet up with the Tay family often, to let Princeton n Jaden play together.. so happy tat my son has a playmate now, n very soon a younger brother too..

gotta plan another gathering with hubby's presence.. among all 4 hubbies, my hubby is the quietest one.. tats y Jeremy n Rod will always try to find topic to get Bong talking... both papas r very friendly one.. All of us love Princeton n Jaden, n soon, we will all love Delroy too! wow, all boys leh.. hope tat Princeton n Delroy can b my godson man!! haha.. then i'll have 3 sons!!

Princeton n Jaden r growing up fast.. by the time Delroy arrives, Princeton will b able to walk liao loh, n Jaden will b 6 months old! how time flies... i'm looking forward to the next gathering really!! must try to plan the date b4 i report back to force haha.. i love my friends, Princeton, n my precious Jaden!!

Happy Valentine's Day!!

Happy Valentine's Day!! i'm sure today everywhere will b packed with couples... oh, i dun dare to go out man.. esp JP.. today JJ Lin will b coming to JP, so will b more packed than usual...

Yest went to collect our new liability.. no longer blue but red.. gotta get used to it... hubby n I went to JP yesterday to eat... not really pre-celebrate lah.. but just want to avoid the cramp crowded situation at JP.. went to eat ding tai feng.. nice food there!!!

after which, hubby n I already decided wat we wanted to have.. i told hubby i wanted a Esprit handbag ( my fav brand ), hubby wanted a wallet.. first, went to Esprit.. choose here n there, chose a black handbag, which can bring to dinner, n a bigger bag, for me to bring to school n work.. din realise my member card was expired.. renewal need to spend $150 in single receipt.. hubby asked if i wana look ard n see some more, but i dun want.. i told him, if i wana spend that much, i will when i feel like it...

after buying the bags, we went to wallet shop.. see here n there, hubby just couldn't find the ideal wallet tat he wanted.. it's a hard task to achieve.. i gotta go try to see if i can find the kind of wallet he wanted...

he wanted to get me another small bouquet of blue roses, with Carebear, but i told him i dun want as i already had a bouquet from him the other day.. after insisting a while, he gave in not to buy another bouquet... Though this year nothing much to celebrate, but at least we still have some time for each other..

No matter if u have a Valentine or not.. just to wish all a Happy Valentine's Day!!

my 27th birthday

i'm older by 1 year again... haha.. yesterday was yuan xiao, which was also my birthday.. get so sianzzz when my bday lies in a weekday... this year also, just tat happened that i'm still in my ML, so i can celebrate.. but hubby needs to work yesterday, so unlike previous years, this year i cook...

yesterday evening as usual, went for my tuition.. after which, meet up with Xiaoling to go grocery shopping 2gether... yesterday was yuan xiao, she wanted to get tang yuan, but it was sold out at sheng siong, so we went to Giant.. wenxian was already there queueing as he was buying the tang yuan, so shun bian help me buy too... after buying ingredients from 3 supermarkets, we proceeded back to our own nest.. =)

hubby said he would want me to cook, so i agreed loh.. went to buy white promfret, will get it steamed.. prawns, with tomato sauce, n vege lah... i can't say i'm good in cooking, but at least i can cook a complete meal.. i'm much better in baking.. but long time din do liao..

though i reached home at ard 8+, but all these dishes very fast one lah... hubby reached home at ard 8.45pm with a BIRTHDAY CAKE!!!! n i'm cooking the prawns as it's the last dish.. hubby went for a quick bath, n less than 10min, the dinner was ready.. sat down n ate together n chat.. hubby ate 2 big bowls of rice, n luckily din cook that much rice, we finished all the food...

colleagues asked hubby y not eat during dinner break, n he told them bcoz i'll b cooking... they said a married man is diff liao, got wife cook.. but i told hubby, not all mah.. some wives can't cook at all, isn't it?? hubby said he had always wanted to eat home cooked food, n it's not as if i dunno how to cook, it's just to see if i want to cook or not.. n i felt pai seh lah.. haha

after dinner, hubby volunteered the washing n i let him be.. after which, we proceeded to sing birthday song, n cut cake.. each of us had a piece, the rest will bring over to my in-law house later..

sat down n watched tv at 10pm.. i told hubby, it was yuan xiao, i bought tang yuan.. as a significance, we both each a little.. so i went to cook 4 balls.. after eating, rest a while, hubby was really tired after working, so rest in early..

was happy tat though a simple celebration.. was glad tat many friends of mine remembered my birthday.. my siblings called me.. friends SMSed me, relatives SMSed too.. felt fortunate.. i dun wish for a lavish celebration, as long as we enjoyed ourselves on that very day, i'll b very happy liao.. i will try to cook more b4 i report back to force.. or if not, hubby will have to wait til June when i have my holidays liao.. haha...

growing older year by year... hubby said where got old.. i'm just 27.. haha.. he said, u see? we got a son when u were 26 only.. considered young.. n when Jaden is 1 year old, u will only b 27... quite true lah...

i dun wish for anything else, but the good health of my Jaden n all of my family members n the ones i love n treasure.. hope 2009 will b a smooth year for me..

Gym for Jaden

during Jaden's 1st month showers, one of hubby's cousin gave this as a gift to Jaden.. finally, Jaden is approaching his 3rd month liao, so this game gym can b of use..

i opened it up n let Jaden try, see if he likes it or not.. but maybe he was still young for that.. he just stared blankly when he lied on the gym.. haha.. hubby n I tried attracting Jaden with the colourful toys, n he was quite attracted to the bright colours instead.. babies r sensitive to bright colours like red, yellow n green... will put him there when he comes home the next time... haha.. hope he likes it when he grows older..

when he is able to grab objects, i'm sure he will like it liao.. this game can play until ard 10 months i think??? coz after 10 months, he will start to learn to crawl, n even walk by then... so this game will no longer b useful.. so gotta keep in store room liao.. can wait til when Delroy comes over to our house, then can let him play on this!!!

27th Birthday apporaching

so fast, turning 27 in a few more days time... thinking back, was 25 when i married into hubby's family... conceived somewhere in the 2nd month of our marriage, gave birth to Jaden when i was 26, n now, turning 27!!!

my birthday always lies within the CNY... last year my bday was 1st day of CNY, n this year, it's 15th, yuan xiao...

yesterday went to JP with hubby to meet my bro, to settle his education loan thingy, as i'm the guarantor.. while waiting for him to reach, we went window shopping.. n suddenly hubby said he wanted to go buy me flowers... then he brought me to the old wing of JP, which has 2 florist shops.. but he wasn't too happy with the blue roses they had in the shop.. i told him no need to get blue lah, then he said all these years whenever he buys me flowers, will not consider other colours except blue coz i like..

2 shops at old wing not up to his satisfactory, so he asked me new wing where has florist shop.. i said not very sure.. so started walking n hubby suddenly thought of 2 more shops.. brought me to the 1 at the ground floor.. not nice.. so he went to the 3rd floor, a few units beside NTUC Extra.. n indeed the blue roses there not bad.. hubby asked for the price, n bought me a bouquet of 12 blue roses...

i was happy lah.. haha.. coz on my birthday this Mon, he has to work.. so no celebration.. i asked him if this bouquet will b the combination for my birthday n Valentine.. n he answered dunno, see his mood... mayb or mayb not on Valentine Day will receive another bouquet.. but he said if Valentine Day he were to buy another bouquet, it will not b 12 stalks liao.. will b lesser..
After which, bro reached JP, n we went to settle his loan thingy.. then went to Billy Bombers eat dinner, his gf joined us too... after a filling dinner, we went home to put our things down 1st then went to ILs house to see Jaden.. After staying for some hours, we brought Jaden home n had our sweet night at home..

My ever 1st birthday with the presence of our gem Jaden.. i'm looking so forward to celebrate HIS birthday instead of mine.. haha!!

Jaden's medical appointment today

today is one of my pal, Jasline's brithday... happy birthday to her.. may Jas b happy always n hope to hear her wedding bells soon!!!

today, Jaden is scheduled to go back to KK for the followup on his rashes.. actually after the nurses stopped his intake of antibiotics that time, his rashes had already subsided much.. after a few days, the rashes completely disappeared.. but to play safe, the nurses gave us an appointment for Jaden to go back n check.. n just a brief checkup n a few words from the doc, we had to pay $75.. hubby needs to work, so MIL went with me this morn..

Had not been weighing our precious prince ever since his Heb B injection last Dec.. So happy that our precious Jaden has been growing up well after the incident last month...

as at today, 2nd Feb 2009, he weighed 5.5kg.. height is 58cm... still remembered when he was just born, his weight was 3.055kg, height 50cm.. he didn't grow much previously, but fortunately after the incident, he is eating well n growing up well too.. no wonder felt him rather heavy whenever we carry him now...

haha.. So fast, Jaden is 2month+ old now... knows how to throw temper by crying out loudly.. need coaxing n comforting for some time b4 he settles down.. hubby said his temper is just like me, n of course i had to admit.. he needs to go back KK again this wed... will update again regarding his condition, but no worry, Jaden is doing very fine now...
