Updates of Jaden

It has been a hectic week for me at work, as it is the last week of the term. It has always been tat busy, just tat this year is busier as there r alot of changes in the curriculum. I think we all look n work more like an admin n not an educator. Very fed up.

Well, though unhappy with my job now but still happy to see my son progressing. Though slow, but still satisfied that he is learning. Every child has their learning speed. I must admit, Jaden is much slower, but he has his own strengths in other areas which other kids might b slower than him. So, i actually dislike ppl who like to compare n compete. Wats the point of comparing now? See how they do when they grow up! N i think moulding character is more impt, isn't it?

Though Jaden is very slow in speech n learning of certain things, but at least I can say his character is mild. He is v cheerful n is not cruel to ppl around him. Yes, he is v spoilt by us, but he can b obedient too.

His pronounciation for alphabets r more accurate now, though letters like M, N still not good. Numbers wise he can read up to 20+ already. He can recognise some colours n shapes, but pronounciation is bad in this area. He scribbles like nobody's business. Well, nvm lah..

He can feed himself better with the grasp of the spoon now. I told FIL, must give him time, coz he has been fed til 2yrs old+ mah. But stubborn toddler just like to snatch the drink we r having n wanted to have a share too, tats v irritating!

Now, he is learning to say his own chinese name 靖祐... Jaden he cannot pronounce. But must see his mood. When mood is good, u ask he will say. Ask him how old he is this year, he can show his 3 fingers out to show u.

MIL teaching him a er-ge that need him to clap his hands, n show his finger. Then will ask his features on the face, like eyes, eyebrow, cheeks, nose, mouth, ears, hair. He can do all except eyebrow n cheeks. But still, need to see his mood. Good he do all for u.. Arrrrgggh!

Given his age of 2.5 years old, all these r considered slow to know n acquire, but I'm still happy as long as he learns by the end of the day. I do look forward to the day when he can really speak up n communicate with us. Keep it up my precious Jaden!
