a fast way to make Javier nap

As many ppl who koe, Javier is a light sleeper... a toddler who cannot sleep as well as his elder brother...

he is easily waken up by noise.. now actually is better.. when he w

as younger, really a bit of noise can make him wake up.. he is not considered as an easy bb from e start, compared to Jaden.

We started to realise something. Sometimes it is hard to make Javier nap earlier. Sometimes when u ask him if he wana nap, he would simply shake his head. Sometimes he really plays til he is super tired, when drinking milk halfway or wat, u will find him sleeping liao..

But, now, whenever we bring him along to drop Jaden to sch then go home, on e way home, he will b so tired that he will sleep in e car, after that I carried him all e way up to PIL's house n he continued his nap. Today is not e 1st time..

It's just a while that we bring Jaden to school, drop him then drive home straight. Today we just went to my prev house at Clementi, to buy some things. on e way home, I made him a bottle of milk 1st, n who koes he really fell asleep again...

But e troublesome thing is, when bring him n MIL out to drop Jaden to school, I need to drive them back again, then I take public transport back to Clementi n wait for Jaden to finish school. Jaden disliked me driving him home from school. he wants to take MRT. if I drive to fetch him home, he will be v angry n started crying for MRT. But a few attempts already proven that Javier will ALWAYS sleep b4 we reach PIL's house.

In a way, it is good lah. he will nap earlier, but is a bit troublesome. But we did feel v happy when we see him nap in e car, so funny. it is just as if he has gone on a long journey n super tired after that. Well, soon we will all b taking public transport. So, if he wana tag along to bring Jaden to school now, I will still b willing to go up n fro. anyway it is not going to b a long term affair.

Lunch with sis

Jaden attends sch every Monday n Tuesday... it's my sis' sleeping day today as she has been working night shifts for the past few days.. met her to send Jaden to school together, so that we can have lunch together, n oso to go jewellery shop to buy jewellery for Yinghui, for their upcoming wedding in nov... 

We went for good food.. wow, I love good food! haha... hubby on mc today, he did join us but not for lunch.

After lunch,we went SK... sis saw a nice pendant, so bought for Yinghui. I couldn't find any that's to my pleasing.. went Goldheart, oso dun have. I think I will need to visit Citigems, soo kee n lee hwa to take a look. I will b buying earrings for her. She doesn't want with studs... so is a little difficult to find a simple n yet elegant design. I need to walk ard n see see look look. Long awaited wedding...

Fri I will be going for a massage session with my sis.. Haha...

I dunno when she will be flying back to Ireland.. so if possible, if can meet her I would definitely will. We used to be not in v gd terms, until we were much older... N we r oso close with my brother, n his fiancée.

A day just passed like that. How I wish I can have good food everyday! But v hard lah! tats a crazy idea. Haha.. it is good to dream at times. I enjoy my time with my sis.. n of course my bro too. It's great to have a sibling, really.

Sending Jaden to sch personally

Frm this month onwards, I'm e 1 sending Jaden to sch personally. I think I felt better this way. In e past it has always been hubby n mil rotating to fetch Jaden to n fro from sch.

it's time for me to contribute. Of course there is something to give n take. 

Jaden is adapting well to e new timing n schooling days. He is getting mischievous recently. Will try to b funny at times. I feedbacked to teacher n she observed. She replied tat yes indeed. Jaden sometimes will try to b naughty. 

Should I say tats considered as an improvement? Well, to me it is. In a way.. haha..

my mentality now is, all is worth it. Stress level is very different now. There is a price to pay for exchanging terms. Today is Tues. Going to bring Jaden to n fro frm sch again. Hope he learn more things n improve more soon. 

Updates on Javier

Javier, our 2nd gem in e family, is turning 2 in less than 1mth time. Wow, i really cannot believe it! He is turning 2 soon, n Jaden going to be 5 soon. N i had quitted from MOE for more than 2wks.

Javier went for his 1st trial enrichment lesson this morning. It's a parent accompanied lesson. He will be attending this once weekly. Is to prepare him for childcare.

He was supposed to enter the cc on e 13th, remember? I called to postpone his enrolment to Oct. Hopefully this 'preparation course' helps. Thanks to my boss.

We were worried that he would cry or fuss, refusing to attend lesson or even enter e centre, but none of all these happened. No cry, no fuss, no leaving, but there's a NO that he needs to learn. no listening to instructions. He did not follow most of e instructions during e 1hr lesson. Well, after all, this is his very 1st virgin class in his life. I must have confidence that it will b better after a few more sessions.

He did not fuss to wanting to leave e room or e centre. He seemed to b quite comfortable there. N always making lots of bb language.

To us, 1st reaction makes a difference. no cry no fuss is a good start. At least it's not an awkward situation tat we need to coax n comfort him. He was running n exploring around happily. He will slowly learn.

Phew, we were surprised that he was smiling. A fantastic start. He chose to observe n listen more than following to do e steps. But eventually he did try. We should give ourselves n himself some time n chance to learn n explore to be better. I did feel happy that he did not resist in entering the centre. A good start is important. I hope i made e right choice to start this route 1st b4 entering cc. He will sure give prob when he switches to cc, but hopefully e damage is not tat great.  Look forward to his 2nd lesson next week. Celebrating my brother's birthday

Today is my brother's lunar birthday, this coming thur which is 2 days later is his English actual birthday... the Chin family is gathering to go for dinner...

We went to the Jurong bird Park hilltop for teppanyaki!

It's my 1st time to such restaurant. Wow, it was great, though I find it abit expensive...

We had a great dinner there, n there was complimentary dessert loh. I had my fav mango pudding, and it tasted good!

I never knew there was a place like this. Next time must bring hubby here to try. Initially I wana bring either of my sons here, but luckily I didn't. No place for kids. There were quite a number of ppl eating there, n surprisingly, NO CHILDREN..... I assume such place is really not suitable to bring kids here.

It's been years ever since I went into a teppanyaki restaurant, the chef cooking in front of us... It's a must try place. If u haven try this place, no harm trying. But if u have no vehicle then will b a bit troublesome n not convenient.

My bro will be having his traditional wedding soon in Nov. I hope my brother can have great health, career getting better n higher positions! Hope he n Yinghui can be blissful n happy always, n hope after their traditional wedding, next year can hear bb news from them. Happy Lunar Birthday my dearest brother!

2013 P2 Drama Fest 13-08-13

Today is PHPPS P2 drama performance. Though I am suffering from flu, but I promised to come, so I have to keep my promise to turn up to support...

This year's costumes look much better than e prev years. my class is performing Chang E ben yue...

A pity was 2 of them were absent for the performance.

It was great seeing them again. N they were so happy to see me, when they were sitting in e gallery waiting for their turn n watching e rest of the performances.... my class was e 2nd last class to perform tats y they have e luxury watching most of the dramas.

Actually last week when they were having their playfest day, they asked my UT if I am coming... in e end I did not come to see them playing games. They might b disappointed. Haha.

As I mentioned, I like this class of mine. although they r not e most angelic class that I had taught, but e rapport we had for one another is good. They r willing to listen, of course in each class there r bound to have some 'catalyst'.

After leaving this job of 8 years, I dun have to rush for meetings, meet deadlines, do projects, rush markings, it was a big load off my mind. I am not exactly that free like nothing to do type now, but all those troublesome matters now no longer needed in my timetable, indeed feel better. the stress level decreased a lot.

R1 may not b e best performing class today, but at least they tried their best, I know. They r not born to be actors or actresses. they are not those kind of pupils who r so creative n so much into acting dramas. This is e last time I would ever see them performing in such an innocent age. When they go P3 no such chance to see them dressing up in costumes like that. I thank them for making me laugh n happy most of e time. I do miss them, really. Pls continue to be good children. I'll always miss u all.

2013 National Day

Today is Spore's 48th birthday! Here's wishing Spore Happy Birthday, may we stay in a forever peaceful n disaster-free country!

Yest went to supermarket to buy ingredients, as I want to cook lunch at home for today. Called my parents over to eat together too.


Bought fish, will make it steamed with ginger... quail eggs, coated with mashed potato then go air fry... chicken wings with teriyaki sauce.. egg with green beans, brewed soup with pork...

Got it ready at around 1.15pm.. watched tv programmes which eating lunch, watched ah boy to men II... it was indeed funny...

I dun feel like going out today, coz just wana stay lazy on a PH... Haha.. ard 3.30pm, actually brought e boys to the kopitiam to buy chicken rice for Jaden lah. He is very fussy...

I can't say that I am a good cook, but at least I won't starve my hubby. I love cooking, in e past b4 I got married, I love baking! But now bcoz kitchen space far too small, tats y no space for me to put an oven. I think no matter wat, a woman must still koe how to cook. I dun mean Maggie mee or fry a sunny sideup... I mean a complete meal.. a proper meal..

Bcoz of National Day, almost every channel can watch... Haha.. It's shiok to watch tv programmes! It is a long wkend for the citizens, as yest was Hari Raya, n today is ND.. Thur n Fri! Many ppl took e chance to go for a short getaway... Well, I lost too much during the genting trip. Should recuperate.. How I wish I can sneak off for a short getaway again! Haha.. but for e rest of this year is impossible lah.

Every1 has their own way to celebrate ND, n their long wkend. Our usual way is to laze at home coz I hate crowds n I hate noise. Sometimes by doing nothing can also be enjoying... Watched e NDP just now n this year's programmes seem to be more interesting n creative. I quite like it.. N of course e segment tat every1 is waiting for is the fireworks. Forever so nice! It's great to b here, to b part of the country. All bcoz of e comfort that we r receiving.. I hope Singapore can always be safe, n a happy place for us to stay in, though e living standards r really too high n stress level is high too. May we all be protected from disasters, viruses n everything that we r afraid of... Once again, happy birthday Singapore! Be proud of who we are, where we are!

My last day with the Ministry, then to Gentings!

As most of u shld koe by now, I am NO LONGER with e ministry, after so many years... 31st July marked my last working day as a govt servant.

I'm sorry for not letting most of u koe, but some of u may koe long ago, as there r bound to have some speakers who will spread e news on my behalf. PM Session colleagues gave me a mini surprise that day by buying me a bouquet of blue 
 
flowers... n gave me a necklace n bracelet.. put in a blue box! I was happy to meet many good colleagues here.. really.. from the bottom of my heart..

My last day ended with a busy n tight day. Had an outing with my P2 class on a learning journey to the Orchid Garden. I need to do last handing over to my UT, n then I had to rush off to Boon Lay for checking in, for our short getaway to Genting.

We reached Gentings ard 3am+... our luck is not good.. lost ard S$2k. upset... but we had e time to go on twosome time.. we went to play bowling, watch movie, shop n eat...

The weather was cool there... Til I cannot get used to e hot weather when we came back last night.

Well, my car had an 'accident'.. this morn realised some1 actually stole my wallet with e petrol member cards, cashcard, n my petrol! I am going to lose $$ again, bcoz went to repair my driver car seat lock, which is $350. Waiting for e call so that I can go down to collect my car.

Made a police report liao... but I think v hard to catch the thief. Well, where r their conscience? I curse this person!

$$ gone, can b earned back.. This car is giving me too many prob.. I must sell it away.

Though this trip cost me a few Ks, but at least is a relaxed time for me. it's been 10yrs ever since I can go on a holiday at super low peak season.

I signed off my youth n career since 2001. 2001-2003 study... 2003-2005 study cum practicum as an untrained teacher (UT)... 2005 graduated.. 2006 confirmed as a permanent staff. 2007 got married. 2008 promoted to a new scale, n preg with Jaden. til 2013 now... It's time. If I dun leave now, I can forget abt leaving, n can retire from this line, this ministry.

Thank you for these years of grooming, that made me realise that I really like teaching. I didn't know I can be a teacher. Haha. n for so many years. It's e end of my teaching career in MOE,but I will continue to teach elsewhere. I know I could not find as wonderful colleagues as who I had found in PHPPS, but I need to move on. or else I would never koe wat e air n environment it would be outside. Thanks for everything, n everything does happen for a reason.
